Protect The Portal Quest

I've been having the same consisting problem for a while now where I died on one of my quests and it won't let me re-enter, the one being the one where you have to protect the portal at the corruption area. Is there something I'm missing?

 

There's a way to return to the portal in this quest (Fate of the Fallen, I presume): Go back to Nesaak's bank, and walk/ride your horse back to the door of time, which isn't far from Asher's house in Time Valley. Throw your staff in the temple of time, and just play through the quest again until you return to the portal.

 

thanks that worked. but now I'm having the same problem with a different quest involving bringing back an npc (edwin from elkurn) who disappeared after i disconnected, and does not seem to reappear after logging back in.

 

That's a known issue, it'll be fixed in the next patch or major update. (Which could take months, so don't expect a quick fix.) Just move on until then.
