Introducing Friends To Wynncraft

After a long time of playing Wynncraft, I finally managed to get some of my other friends to play it! There's just one tiny problem,

One of them likes professions.

Nothing wrong with that, but he really likes it, he has said many times that "Professions are better than Quests" and that "All of the Quests are boring".

I've tried to change his mind, by showing him so quests I thought were fun (Misadventure at sea, Recover the Past, etc.) But he still thinks that Professions are more profitable, gets you better gear faster, and are better than quests.

While Professions might be a good way to get money (I'm not entirely sure) they can't be better than Quests right, an integral part of a game that gives life and lore to a world can't be worse than grinding for 2 hours to just make a slightly better chest piece. I mean he isn't even going for Loot quality, he's just making bland armor.

I need someone's advice, anyone, I can't stand another day of waiting for him to level up farming another 20 lvls so we can do a single quest together.

Here's a simple(?) solution: your friend starts a new class, that way he can level up at the same rate as everyone else, and he'll still have a profession class to level up independently on the side.

I can't imagine someone who would enjoy material farming more than playing the actual game. Like... WHY?

 

Cut ties with your friend.

 

Quests are literally the main content of the game. If he only wants to grind some pebble for 20 hours a day, I don't think Wynn is that much suited of a game for him.

 

professions are more fun in real life

 

Your friend is a masochist take him to a psychologist

 

What level is he?
Did he actually made profit?
Is he crazy irl?

 

I think you guys are exaggerating this quite a bit - if they like professions, why force them to do something else?

 

Let him grind his profs.

Soon enough he'll see the grind curve skyrocket and will have to give in to the all mighty QUESTS
