Media Wynn Borders [updated]

    There doesn't seem to be clear borders in the Wynn Province, we have territories but they don't cover the whole map and it can be inaccurate.
    So I tried making borders to the Wynn Province, here are my priorities (They can change):
    1. First of all, the ingame borders should be more important than the map borders.
    2. It should be similar to the original borders on the map.

    Share your thoughts in the comments on how the borders should look like.

    Note that the purpose of this map is to be a practical one (easy to understand), the map isn't territory or lore focused which I might make another one (If no one interested).

    The emerald trail should go all the way to ragni imo

    I'm not sure if that will be the "right" border for Emerald Trail since ingame you start seeing the defending archers after the pigmen cave and the territory for the Emerald Trail doesn't extend to Ragni.

    Areas and territories can overlap.
    Also there isn't a clear border as it used to be back in ancient history

    The trail does start at Ragni.
    I mean the game goes so far as to say you discovered the Emerald trail as soon as you step out of the Ragni gates.

    In fact, lore wise the trail goes all the way from ragni to detlas.

    Good point, but a simple border will be nice to have.

    Maybe, but the problem is that it's a bit unreliable to rely on when you get the discovery since you can get many discoveries for multiple areas without actually being there.

    But the lore reason might be a pretty good one, though it actually says The trail through Nivla Forest to Detlas, the central city of the Wynn Province.
    It complicates things a bit more, so I might need to make multiple maps. One focusing on the real map (lore), and the other one is more of a practical point (simple to understand).

    Edit: I might change the Emerald Trail back to having the Pigmen Cave and the Fishing Pond since it's more simple to have all of those important places in one area.

    I liked very much this map. Some comments: i loved the ragni peninsula terr. Also, about emerald trail, I think it should be considered a World discovery rather than a terr, since in lore it goes from ragni to detlas. The area you put as emeralds trail can be incorporated in ragni plains. Also I would incorporate plains terr on maltic plains and elkurn road on elkurn plains.

    Qeustion: why does wynncraft makes all terrs rectangles instead of making them resemble more territors?

    Pls do more of this division on the map on terrs. Maybe after you finish a sub division is needed fow balancing purposes. Eg.: light forest cant be in only one terr, it needs to be subdivided.

    It's actually from Nivla Forest to Detlas, I might also make another map specifically focused on lore as I said above.
    I'll merge Maltic Plains and Plains together, but I'm not sure of merging Elkurn Roads and Elkurn Fields since those are a bit different.

    Note that the purpose of this map is to be a practical one (easy to understand), the map isn't territory or lore focused which I might make another one (If no one interested).

    it says through nivla to detlas, it doesnt say starting at nivla, im almost sure it is the road that connects ragni to detlas. Also, i think it is a great idea to make different maps with different objectives. Just an idea for another map: highlight paths and places that are used( Eg.: highlight roads, towns, maybe fast travel, etc.)

    Oh yeah, your right.
    For now, I will extend the Emerald Trail in the "practical" map to the Pigmen Cave and the Fishing pond.

    For the lore map, I'm not sure of one thing now after you cleared the misunderstanding. Does Emerald Trail start from the entrance of Ragni or after the entrance? Since it wasn't said where it starts exactly, but it said "through Nivla" which doesn't necessarily mean from the entrance of Ragni.
    From what I understand, it seems that the Entrance of Ragni should stay as the Entrance of Ragni in the lore since it's a bit different and has mobs called "Zombie Raid" which specifically targets Ragni.
    Let me know what you think.

    I'll also try using highlights for multiple things, thanks.

    Edit: By "through Nivla to Detlas", doesn't this actually translate to by going inside of Nivla Forest to Detlas?
    Though, It does make more sense that it starts from the Entrance of Ragni or after the Entrance.

    i think you are right about using entrance of ragni. I think that the more appropriate place to put the start of emerald trail is somewhere between ragni gates and the watch tower. Right after the mobs raiding ragni stop spawning, next to some boulders i think.

    Why is there a "Plains" and "Maltic and it's Plains"? Seems redundant.

    Yeah, I did that because of territory reasons but I'll merge it with Maltic Plains when I update the map (Probably today).

    Straight lines> bent, curving lines because values for territory entering and leaving are easier in a straight line

    Your right, but this map isn't a suggestion to change what the territories look like.
    It's to have clear borders is to where things are because there are multiple times where I sit there thinking what location should I put this in the wiki or do I call this place this name or that name or does this place belong to this location or that location etc.
