Recover The Past Quest Is Broken

I did the quest normally by bringing back Scout Reynauld and Caid to Dr Picard. However, when it came to Edwin, I accidentally went down the stairs right before a cutscene. Now, Dr Picard keeps saying "Are you getting your test subjects for me?" Edwin is nowhere to be seen. I can't complete the quest as I need him.

Bug report, or maybe it skipped the cut scene and you have to progress

I just had the exact same issue at the same point. The wiki mentions it as a bug and says the quest can never be completed :/

 

It's fixed for the next patch or major update, you'll just have to wait until then.

 

Same thing happened here. It's been a good month since the last comment about an update. Is there going to be one soon or is the game still broke?
