Any Opinions On Terraria?

1.4 is great, I've been playing it all week now. New weapons are game, Terraspark Boots are gamer, the Reaver Shark no longer is and the thankfully-now-removed Torch Luck couldn't be lamer.

Big disagree, she sells cats and dogs and for whatever reason I get the most money when I sell things to her even though I've got the Mechanic with the Goblin Tinkerer in a snow biome together

 

They changed it so I can't get waterbolt before Skeletron. I'm so sad, 0/10. Yeah, I love Terraria, I just wish the early game was a bit less of a grind. That's my only real complaint; the rest of the game is a lot more fun to progress and the variety of things to do makes it feel really fun; far from the grindy nature of early game. Also, it has the most creative and most fun magic in any game I've played.

 

well made until we discovered torch luck, that was just petty, thankfully they removed it.

 

I never considered pre-Hardmode to be very grindy, honestly. Pre-Hardmode is focused more on exploration, where you're pretty much done armour and weapon-wise once you've gathered enough ores, while Hardmode is much more grindy with its Dungeon items and bigger boss loot pools. Though what's definitely very soul rending in pre-Hardmode is preparing your world against the Corruption/Crimson: digging all those shafts, tunnels and placing all those sunflowers is such a chore.

 

That's funny. I almost never do those things pre-hardmode, but it still fells grindyer to me. Hardmode does involve more grinding, but it never feels as bad. Maybe because your tools are faster so mining is more fun or because the boss fights are a lot better.

 

Early game is easy, most fun area is mechanical bosses to lunatic cultist, late endgame sucks, but that’s what calamity is for

 

Terraria's probs one of my favorite games, I just got the zenith and now I started a master mode playthrough

 

Great game, I put about 1600 hours on it
1.4 was a bit disappointing though, I didn't notice many changes and master mode is an absolute hell, in a bad and unfair way.

 

I've been thinking of getting Terraria, I'm going to wait for a good sale to go on...probably Steam still has theirs going on, I'll check it out.
