As Shadowmage said, "Nibbles" is a wybel. Later in the game, you can find lots of them near Ahsmord in the sky islands. There's even a boss alter with an orange wybel as the boss, and one of the more difficult legendary island bosses is a cyborg wybel. You also may see some players with pets that are wybels, which you can get from some crates.

Not really, Doctor Legendary also knew about them, and turned one into the Cybel.

 

But he also says it’s known to very few, and largely talks of it like it’s a mythical creature (“they say”, “have you heard stories”). Plus, he somehow knows about the cursed mummy we fight and kill, not to mention Yahya, and neither of those are really common knowledge so it’s more than likely the dude just knows a lot more than anyone else
