Olmic Rune Quest Not Starting

When I started (or tried to start) the Olmic Rune Quest, my Quest Book didn't update, but I still tried to follow a quest guide. At the next stage, I couldn't get into the fuel cave, bc I think I haven't even started the quest (although clicking at the machine continously didn't help starting), but I managed to get 32 fuel by just teleporting. I defeated the mobs at the drill and was technically done with the quest, but then I couldn't get into the last cave (where he quest ends), it said I wasn't ready or something... My quest book still says "Explore the abandoned drill..." , and still doesn't get into the next stage, clicking on the machine doesn't help.
Did someone had the same experience, is that a bug or am I just a moron and not able to complete the quest? Thanks for your help!
