Indeed, there was a new patch!!! What it contains, I don't know.

All I do know is that at one point, Salted shouted this encryptic message in chat:


I found this in another Discord recently. I thought that perhaps there was a new tutorial server feature. So when I got home from doing some things, I went ahead and created a new character on what I guess was an updated server, and sure enough, the legends were true.
You aren't actually taken to a "TUT" server, but the Tutorial has been indeed updated, featuring how to right click on enslaved computer-generated characters, get players addicted Loot Chests and loot runs, and how to left click to attack.
You also learn how to identify items at the Item Identifier, and you are no longer required to gather profession materials to progress (With the exception of the big tree to cross the ravine).

I'm not the one to care much about how tutorials play out as long as they are fun and informative, but this does feel better!

The Item Identifier doesn't have a potato stash. Please fix this. Literally unplayable.

The new tutorial looks nice.
But someone mentioned about the part where you have to loot chest and get a crafting material from it. It potentially can be misleading to players since you can't really get materials from loot chests.
Also the cave has black floor.... really? could have keep to stone floors... The black floor just looks out of place.

 

I'll defend the black floor; if it was stone new players would probably try to jump down. The black floor makes it clear you don't want to jump down and need to find another way forward (that might now be obvious to a new player).

 

I played through the new tutorial and when I had to cut down the tree to cross the ravine it wouldn't fall, otherwise, it's incredible.

Is there any secrets in the tutoiral?
Having an obvious one would be a nice way to prompt the player to more closely explore the environment, aswell as hitting at secert discoveries, and the games more exploratory nature.
