As I was looking through the forums, I've been seeing a huge community and guides on things I didn't even know that was possible in this game.
I've been playing for about 5 days, and I'm a level 31 archer. I've just been focusing on doing quests, I'm not farming any exp, and only delved into but I don't know if I should be doing anything else.
I've gotten all of my harvesting, mining, woodcutting and fishing skills u to level 10, but that's about it.
I also can't use discord, so that also disconnects me further from the game.

Basically what I'm saying is that I'm a noob, and maybe some directions on what to do would be nice.
    Thanks!

You don't have to really grind for a while and I would recommend not because I find that quests are the most fun at level

    Ignore professions, indeed.

On your first playthrough, unless you're doing the "Craftsman" challenge, don't even bother with professions. Instead, focus on completing every quest, finding every secret discovery and defeating every dungeon/challenge at least once.

For builds, stick with what you have until you reach Lv. 80.

Do quests unless you are out of quests for your level, then find a location with yellow-starred mobs and start grinding them. Ignore professions on your first playthrough, unlike me. Pretty much, I agree with everything said above except the builds part. It is helpful to at least give yourself a direction on what style you like to play(DPS, Spell, Tank, etc.)

Use whatever works for you, avoid professions, don't grind too much or spam dungeons, and don't worry too much about whatever meta guides there are. Unless you're actually struggling with something, meta builds and strategies and whatever aren't necessary for any part of the game, so really just focus on having fun.

In general, I would say avoid guilds. They aren't super fun and usually the large ones have level requirements. In my opinion, only join a guild if you actually know the other people in the guild and are just trying to have some fun with friends. That's what I did(RIP Axolotl Tail, none of them play anymore), and I think it makes the most sense.

Do all quests, as many others already said, and do all of the dungeons you encounter, they are usually fun and possibly challenging.

If you want real challenges, try Boss Altars.

You can also explore and try to find Secret Discoveries, or just visit minor areas like Bremminglar, Halfmoon Island, Fruma Gates and many others. Finding these non-important areas that still had content felt really fun. Once I even found a secret wave battle south of Corkus Island.
