Quest Bug

In the Canyon Condor quest, the Lift Mechanic won't let me on the lift, even though I've talked to Svin. Is there something I missed?

 

You must finish the quest to use the elevators.

 

I need the lifts to finish the quest, though.

 

No, not really.
Even though it is quite uncomfortable and a long way to go, there are two more ways to get to the top of the mesa:
1. Swim up the waterfall, which is on the other side of the canyon;
2. Go to the very south-west of the canyon, use the underground passage to reach the Abandoned Mineshafts, then past Ternaves, a little bit of the Desert, and you are back at the canyon.

P.S.: I think there's a third way how to climb up, I'm unsure if it works though.
3. On the north-west side of the canyon, there's a mining shaft that leads straight up.
