Resource Pack Wynncraft Retextured - Unique Armor Textures And More!

Hey guys! I've been rather enjoying Wynncraft, and I noticed the lack of unique armor textures. I searched and had found a few CIT texture packs that add armor textures using Optifine's CIT feature, but they all seemed to be incomplete, outdated, or the site hosting them no longer exists... so I figured I'd make my own!

Right now, this only adds textures to all the armor sets (if I missed a set, let me know!) and a few other armor textures

Let me know if the textures in any of the sets don't make sense... I haven't played all the way through the game yet, so I had to guess on a few based on the wiki. XD

I noticed there were "old" armor textures on the wiki, but decided not to use them (though some are definitely influenced by them)

Plus, it adds a couple quality-of-life changes like:

Unique textures for all the powders

It also makes the color more consistent for the I-III and IV-VI powders.

Changes the color of the saddle seat depending on horse color

Different textures for all the teleport scrolls

Unique textures for all the dungeon keys

I added corrupt and broken textures for the galleon's graveyard, fallen factory, and eldritch outlook too, juuuuuust in case they are added in the future.

They have the number of players currently connected on the icon, so you don't have to scroll over each one to see them. The numbers also change color to yellow or red like the normal checkmarks do.

I have to say, my favorite thing about this is the powders, they look so good :o

You should make textures for the ornate shadow items, I'm sick of looking at my black leather chestplate

 

Ooo what's that set? I don't see any mention of ornate shadow on the wiki.

a "mysterious merchant" who sells them for an item obtained by completing A Hunter's Calling.

 

Cool! What are the exact names of the items, and is there any lore about them like what they are, where they come from, etc?

 

If I remember correctly:

• Helmet: Ornate Shadow Cowl
• Chestplate: Ornate Shadow Garb
• Pants: Ornate Shadow Cover
• Boots: Ornate Shadow Cloud

And nope I don't think there's any lore whatsoever, hence the reason they're being sold by a "mysterious merchant"

 

Its not a set :P
You can only wear one at a time.
I will say, it's very black, and the color scheme of where it comes from is black and purple.

 

wow this is really cool! Use wynndata instead of the wiki, the wiki is kinda trash for items

 

Huh, so it's like an anti-set then. I wonder if there are any more of those.

Ah, thanks for sharing that! It looks very helpful. I discovered there is an Item Guide with list of all items ingame in the Wynntils mod too. That's pretty useful to make sure the texture is working for items I can't get yet ingame!

 

Yes, Hive items work the same way, you can't use 2 of the same division

 

Just a few corrections:
-Veekhat is a mooshroom
-Cosmic Armor, while space-related, isn't related to a astronaut/martian but to the Yellow, Red, Blue and White meteors in Gavel, so go for a different look.

Really like this idea. If there was a way to get it to work w/out optifine (so wynncraft can keep there NO MODS thing going) then that would seal the deal. Makes players alot more varied in their appearance and it looks dope

 

Actually, I'm pretty sure it would work in game without optifine, but they'd have to change the resource pack skins/models/whatever for armor is all
