Hey guys. So I only started getting this issue about 2 days ago and I've never had it before. I just wanted to see if anyone else had come across the issue and there's a known fix. It's become unbearable when I'm in the middle of a boss fight and my ping shoots up to 1000+ and I get deleted because everything is so behind on my screen. I've run scans on my computer, I've restarted my computer. I'm also getting these massive spikes late at night when I'm the only one on my network and I have very good internet so I'm confident in saying that's not the issue.

I sometimes get these while fighting bosses like cybel when playing in 1.14+

try 1.12.2, its the most stable version and works for me.

Probably issues woth the proxy, I've been vetting them quite a bit too so I'm just using a vpn instead

Well, I've personally never used one. Never cared to but mainly has no reason to. But from what I know, don't you have to pay subscription-based for pretty much all of them or at least the good ones? Is there any other known fix to latency issues?

Well I'm not an expert, but at the very least I'm suspecting it's a proxy issue because I actually get less ping (around 90) without the vpn, but the connection is unstable. With the vpn I get around 140ping, but a much more stable connection.

Not advertising, but I use the Mudfish VPN which costs me less than a dollar per month, so I'm fine with it.

My situation is probably completely different than yours but maybe its worth noting that I had the same or very similar problem. (its not, i'm actually just here to rant because i really resonate with your pain)
I'm saying "had" because this was back before the huge networking changes on the 4th or 5th and I haven't been on since the 1st.
But bottom line is I know exactly what you're talking about and feel your pain.
I lost my HICH class to one of these described lagspikes after 150 hours ingame and months of work on it.. I try not to think about it too much.
I never found a fix. but maybe the networking changes will have fixed it once I can get back on..?

    good luck

I appreciate the responses. I asked on the Discord as well to see if I could get more eyes to see it and possibly a quicker response. From what I've gathered, many people have had this issue and I think people are having it currently. I also was told that there have been more and more problems regarding connection since the last major network change or whatever it was and it's something that I have to wait out.
