What If, Corruption In Dern?

So, you know how there is Corruption in Light Realm due to the greed of Gavel, making darkness bust through the door? somebody once told me-- So, what if we got to see Corruption in Dern by being infected by Light, however it would still have the same red-black aesthetic as Corruption and have Corrupt themed enemies in the area, and how residents in Dern also see the Corruption as a pest. Idk how we can make the lore say Light infected Dern, maybe by Wynn's hope and perseverance while at the face of the Corruption, or maybe Bob, and player inspiring hope into the people of Wynn, giving Light across the Realm. It would be really interesting to see Corruption as not just bad for Light, but also bad for Dark also, and both sides not want the Corruption, as it taints everything. Mabye it would also give light(heh) into Darkness being not be simple one-sided "Bad Force" and a justifiable force of nature as is Light, with them also not wanting Corruption also. (And maybe an alliance between light and dark, owo?)

(As much as I want to see this however, it props won't happen, as Bak'al is a commander of the Corruption, and apparently works under Unnamed Dern King, so I guess Dern is okay with Corruption even though it's a result of Light and Dark. Also, I feel like the obligatory town in Dern cause every new "province" needs to have a town wouldn't be so okay with this hero giving off Light element to be in their town they cause Corruption in Dern due to them creating light/hope across Wynn and creating Corruption in Dern, or could cause Corruption in Wynn just by their presence. Guess Dern would just be that realm that is just evil be a simple good vs evil spiel.)

Anyways just a fun idea I had, as a "what if" it everything wasn't just black and white, but Corruption being the main threat.

 

Well, Dern, or darkness, is actually able to be corrupted, seeing as the corruption is when light and dark mix. The lore is pretty clear about light and dark being opposite forces (and although the Light Realm has shown to be more friendly to the player, it's also much weaker due to already partially being corrupted, and this can be taken as the light seeking powerful allies), and that the corruption is the only real bad guy.

Bak'al working with whatever rules Dern doesn't have to mean corruption and Dern are one group, I see it as Dern wanting to defeat the light, and striking an alliance with a part of the corruption so it can beat its natural enemy. In fact, Dern taking over the Silent Expanse and constructing the Eldritch Outlook is very likely a defense against the corruption, showing that the cooperation between Bak'al and the ruler of Dern is definitely not based on trust. The corruption is already the main bad guy of the Wynn lore.
