Guide Newcomer's Guide Feedback

I have worked on this guide on wiki for a few past weeks and I would like to hear some feedback from you.

EDIT: also, I am not the best editor in the word and have trouble with wording

 

I'm sorry if this is offending but I think this quote from YY from another thread is an extremely simple but compelling argument even for this thread:

I tried to remove as much as possible.

 

I think having some image references as examples to some of the concepts listed on the guide could be helpful as to not make it look like a wall of text. Even though some dedicated players may read through the whole guide, I feel as if the majority of the playerbase would stop short at the sight of it.

 

I will try to add them in next two days.

From what I've seen of it so far, it's looking pretty good actually. The various titles, subtitles, and bullets help it not being a wall of text as much. Some pictures would probably be nice though.

 

I fixed a lot of errors regarding classes and game balance stuff, along with spelling/grammar issues.

Might want someone else to be an editor, though. I can understand your motivation, but your writing is severely lacking.

I am aware of this issue, but the problem is that no one else would do it.

 

Added some pictures, mob elemental stats and changed Class section.

also gathering. Although it’s client sided it’s still a breaking of a block?
And the list below should include gathering, and completing dungeons, trade market and also emeralds from the stealing identification possibly?

 

What if one were to make a video guide, and include it in the article?

This is much better than the original Beginner's guide in the wiki that was already outdated, I updated that old one a bit to match today's Wynncraft, but this is overrall better.

I like how you noted that quests are important on the first playthrough to experience the game fully, I have met people who have only done less than half of them because they expected quests to be boring grind and fetch things and so on. I even saw someone say to a new player "Don't let the boring quests drive you away". People who don't do them don't get to experience the awesome gameplay, lore and content presented.

Also the fact that crafting is unnecessary is important to point out to new players, as the tutorial got really misleading after 1.18.

 

Alright, I made some changes to the page. It's a pretty good guide, but I would like to point out some errors.
Firstly, I added in a lot of articles (a, the) that were missing. It's only a grammatical error, but it is quite jarring when you read sentence and there's just lack of articles.
Secondly, there's unnecessary exaggeration in a couple places. For instance, "items look a lot different from normal Minecraft" or "a rare exception is flower pots". It sets the tone of the text to something more... bouncy? It's not very wiki-esque, anyway.
Then there were some numbers written down the wrong way. I'm not sure what the rule is in English, but in Dutch, formally, all numbers that are round or below 20 are written in letters, unless it's a list. So, "Dungeon rewards include 1 boss drop and three dungeon fragments" is incorrect.
Aside from that, it's a solid guide! Thanks for writing it my man!

 

The new article doesn't point out quests as important anymore as I think they are in Wynncraft, and in my opinion the old text about them was much better.

"You should complete most quests you come across"

IMO you should complete all of them, and even if you do not come across them, hunt for them. They are the fastest and most fun way to level up, and a big part of the game's content and fun is within them.

True, but I found the sentence to be a bit demanding. Personally I would have responded to that phrase with

 

Oh, I get your point now. Well, uhh, ok. I don't really have anything else to say lol.
