How Is Assassin Meant To Be Played?

Apparently assassin is supposed to be an extremely high damage class but I'm not quite seeing it outside of heavy melee quaking + vanish. If you don't use builds like that then the damage seems rather low.

Am I missing something about assassin?

 

How long have you been playing the class? Are you looking items that fit a play style? (low mana cost spam spell, attack speed, or sudo tank)

 

I find that spell spam assassins only do around 10k multihits and 6k spins. It seems low to me compared to spell spam archers/mages.

 

Ok and the class has a spell that makes it take 0 damage, trade offs are a thing in the balance world. You lose something to gain something. But I've seen assassins do much higher damage. I'd recommend going to the Class Builds thread section and starting one there and asking the knowledgible gods to drop you some information or the discord

 

Assassin's thing is the spell spam in spellspam builds. Meteor is quite slow, and Arrow Storm takes time to do all the damage. Assassin can do like 3 spins a second, while the enemy is in the smoke bomb, taking extra damage. Vanish Heavy Melee is also extremely powerful.

assassin is the true gamer class don't change my mind

also if you think about it wynncraft bosses are kind of weak when people are able to do builds that do like 50k damage per spell that costs 1 mana (I've heard about 240k quakes but I don't know if it's true)

Also, if you spam arrow storm, does it cancel the previous one?

 

pretty sure it basically refreshes the duration, so its not like you have two arrow storms shooting out at once.

 

A good spellspam assassin should be able to get significantly more than that. Using inferno I get around 16k multis, and it is by no means an optimal spell spam build. Also, spell assassin is primarily meant as a combo based class, with the vanish>spin attack>multihit combo doing insane damage. Even a fairly bad build should be able to get easily 20-30k out of it.
