There have been so many community events over the years that I'm not gonna make an entire paragraph dedicated to a specific one, but I might mention Wynncon briefly when I update the thread next.

Too minor of an addition I'd say, new items have been added all the time and I don't always even mention the larger item updates.

Okay, I FINALLY updated the thread after 3 whole months. Don't have a ton of additions partly because not a lot has a happened, but also because I've been busy with another Wynncraft-related project that's similar to this one. Expect to see a spiritual successor to this thread soon™... maybe.

Boy, does this image evoke memories.

This is a rendered picture of the Content Team back in 2016, to commemorate the release of Gavel. More than half of the people featured here have since left, but some stayed, so you'll recognise some familiar faces. Although I may no longer be in the team (I was the dude in the middle, Beefandleather was my old username), being in the Wynn CT is an experience I'll never forget.

Ah yes, I remember the days where a single uppercut crashed the server during a swarm (definitely didn't do that one myself...)

 

God I'm old, coming back after 6 whole years to play on this amazing server and it's great to see how much it evolved. I remember the very early days like they were just last week.

I'll never forget my very first day on Wynncraft, I chose Mage and when I tried to cast a spell, my stick... disappeared
I then tried to play as Archer, and when I tried to attack my bow also disappeared
Then I chose Assassin and my weapon didn't disappear this time, however I remember seeing a bunch of sticks dropped around in Ragni

Young me would always arrive home from school and hop onto the computer to play on Wynncraft. I met amazing people in my journeys, most of whom I lost all contact since it was before the good days of Discord. It's sad opening my friends list today and seeing all of them offline
I've definetly spent over a thousand hours into this server and I don't regret a single second (well, maybe those where I died trying to cross the Great Bridge)

The ammount of content in the game now is genuinely mindblowing, I still remember when you had to grind like crazy from level ~55 to 68. Seeing quests for those levels definetly makes me very happy. I'm glad no one has to go through that grindfest anymore

It's also interesting seeing how the community from the forums changed. I used to recognize almost everyone that posted around here, now I have no idea who's who. Those years surely made a difference

Here's to hoping for many more years of amazing content and gameplay, I hope Wynncraft never stops being the fantastic server it is

ah, memory lane............ i remember so much of this and god wynncraft has improved so much over the years. also a good catchup thread for me to see what happened while i was gone!! rest in peace shoutbox, you will be missed

 

Bumping this up. I'm aware that there are some recent events (prof XP being temporarily added, network-related changes) that need to be added, but I also plan on going through the entire thread again and editing/adding/removing stuff. That being said, I'm busy with schoolwork and other projects, so don't expect any changes for a while.
