Item Patch 1.19.4 Changelog And Feedback Thread

Hello everyone! Today’s a very exciting day because the item team has been super busy and we finally have a changelog for the next big item patch!

Upcoming changes in 1.19.4:​

-Over 100 endgame armour balance changes! (Finished combos: EW, EF, EA, TF, TA, WA, FA, A)
-6 new endgame armour pieces to find!
-Global Health Regen buff! (Triggers every 4 seconds now, reduced from 10 seconds)
-Nearly all previously loot-exclusive armour and weapons now instead are regular obtainables!
-A̷ m̵ b̶ i̶ v̶ a̸ l̸ e̷ n̷ c̵ e̵

You can find the pastebin including all the changes to existing items here! Three changes to note are Spinal Tap, Gravesbane, and Hero’s End, all of which have been reworked into completely different items. (September, Windshear, and Flummox respectively) This includes changes to stats that will seem unusual without the context of them being completely reworked, such as level, slots, and tier, which isn’t shown. September is unique, Windshear is rare, and Flummox is rare!

The purpose of making a completely new thread for this rather than posting it on the main item thread like other changelogs is that we want this thread to become a sort of hub for feedback on the endgame armour rebalance we’re working on. It’s such a massive change that pushes a lot of playstyles forward in ways never seen before and begins to introduce whole new archetypes that have never been supported until this point such as Heavy Melee, Heavy Spell, Burst Spell, Heavy Poison, and the not-so-elegant return of Cactus, among others, so we wanted to make it easy for the community to tell us exactly what we did right and what we did wrong. Also, there's one change that missed out on the patch due to a mishap while making the changelog. This is the change to Nether's Scar, which should hopefully be added in the next couple of days. Take a look!

Health: 4000 -> 3350
Water Defense: -140 -> 0
Earth Defense: 0 -> -140

Dexterity Points: 7 -> 12
Defense Points: 16 -> 12
Health Regen %: 115 -> 140 (42 to 182)
Attack Tier: 0 -> 1
Raw Health Regen: -75 -> -400 (-280 to -520)
Fire Damage %: 14 -> 10 (3 to 13)
Thunder Damage %: 14 -> 10 (3 to 13)

In all seriousness this seems really neat, may say more later when I'm done reading through everything, but for now I'm excited to try out some new TFA stuff.

 

I honestly have no idea what to say other than the fact that I'm mega hype-
Also Corkus Loot Run is now very much the best Loot Run. Time to gamble Between Apoc/Hero/Crusade/Galleon and Resurgence/Discoverer in every damn chest !!!!!!!! (Spoiler, they'll all be Apoc still)

Any weapon/armor that can only be found in loot chests can now be dropped from mobs.

 

Oh well this is just perfect, literally the day after i finish my health regen build it gets buffed

basically, prior to now, all armor would only be obtainable from chests. Now you can get it from mob drops too!

 

Some T3/4 Chest exclusive items can be found through T1/2 and mob drops

@Torpid it means items like Vacuum which could previously only be found in T3/T4 lootchests can now be found in all chests and mob drops. You may have heard stories of how difficult it is to find many loot-exclusives...

Anyway time to go over the changelog in detail, I probably won't post my item-by-item thoughts until tomorrow though, to let it settle.

 

So wait I can't tell if the Ignition rework is a nerf or a buff? What is it?
