When Should You Do An Auction Vs Sale?

Hello!
I have recently attained some(I think) fairly valuable items, which has lead me back to an old question of mine. When should I just sell an item through the Trade Market vs auction it on the forums? Is it a matter or rarity, quality, or just of taste?

I'd recommend doing both. Putting it on the market is good, but if it's not a mythic, fabled and/or required for a build people won't be hunting for it super hard. Market can be seen by all players while I'd say a more of the "try-harders" (I hope I'm apart of their club <3) are on here. You seem to have a Shop, can edit it with a "Selling" and bump it

 

Anything that has mass worth to the playerbase(mythics, godly legendaries and fableds) should be auctioned, as the demand will bid your prices up. If it isn't one of the above, just put it up for sale aand if a bidding war starts, it starts.
