Hi, just came back after a year of not playing and found out that there are no longer the Hephaestus-Forged Greaves in the game. Is there any substitute for this?

well it depends on what exactly you want
but here are some decent options

ornate shadow cover
eden-blessed guards
abyss-imbued leggings
ophiuchus
cinderchain
heat sink
greaves of the veneer

 

If you're coming back, it's almost certain your build is outdated. Helping with that would be more helpful than just recommending an alternative.
