Mage/Dark Wizard What Are Mage Builds

I’ve got a level 100 shaman and I’ve tried a couple of builds on it and I’m about to start a new mage class but I do t really know what types of mage builds there are.

I’ve seen people use loads of names and terms for different types of build but I don’t really know what any of it means (tierstack???) so it would be great if someone could explain to me what they mean and are.

Tierstack - usually super slow atk speed weapon combined with attack speed increasing gear to achieve super fast atk speed

Cancelstack - having a mix of atk speed increasing and decreasing gear along with raw melee bonuses to (generally) achieve super fast atk speed. most of the cancelstack builds use necrosis as helmet.

Heavy melee - super slow, stacking items that give negative atk tier and raw melee, quake from earth powders

Spell spam - mana regen, spell damage, low spell costs, using spells as fast as you can, meteor for most damage. dont forget to cycle different spells to keep costs low.

Spell steal - like spell spam but uses mana steal to get mana, usually super slow atk speed for consistent mana income (atlas)

Lunar - negative mana regen, relies on mana steal to use any spells

Poison - slapping items that give poison on you. curse from water and courage from fire powders increase the poison damage significantly.
