    I mean personally I think it could be pretty balanced as just a regular ID with tweaks of course but I really don’t think anyone can call too much in this game overpowered when shaman is still blatantly stronger than everything else

    why the evolved is actually a cool item and well designed but deserves a buff anyway:

    the evolved has a pretty nifty design
    at first glance, it seems like a pretty standard poison bow, but its design is cool, mostly because of one thing: the -1st spell cost.
    arrow storm spews out 60 arrows. combine that with its high poison, and you get a bow that is able to cover a wide area while spreading around poison. cool, right?

    i mean, yeah it's cool, but it's also pretty lackluster. in the grand scheme of things, it'll be outperformed by stinger. although stinger has less poison, it gives extreme health sustain via life steal and actually has base damage to work with, which to name an example, could be used in heavy melee for what i like to call "heavy poison"

    for the sake of explanation, i've made a version of what the evolved could be, which would work in a way that competes with stinger in builds incorporating poison. you can also click here for a wynndata custom item if you want to test it.

    to summarize the changes made, i've buffed the attack speed from fast to very fast, given it a considerable amount of main attack neutral damage, and changed the 1st spell cost from -25% to -4 raw wtf -hpr% triple digits are better for flavor hahahahaha
    buffing the attack speed opens/facilitates two main options: cancelstack and rawstack--compare this with stinger, which has the option of heavy melee.
    giving it the raw melee acts as a way to communicate this to players as well as give the weapon a slight buff to its performance in these types of builds
    finally, changing the 1st spell cost from -25% to -4 does two things: increases the potential usage of arrow storm to spread poison (cost alone goes from 4 to 2) and decreases the effectiveness of +1st spell cost % on other items writhing growth (original evolved goes back to the original 6 cost for storm, but new evolved will stay at 2 cost)

    tl;dr -- increase the evolved's attack speed, give it raw melee, and change the 1st spell cost from -% to -raw in a more effective amount. it gives it more flexibility in using the item itself, gives it a buff so it can compete with other weapons, and makes it more worth using storm to spread poison--like it's intended to.

    I dislike both ideas on paper. Healing per spell cast places bias on spellspam builds despite intelligence not actually representing health sustain. It could also outclass regular lifesteal, rendering it somewhat obselete. Healing for a % of damage dealt disincentivises defensive builds since you can increase your health sustain (and thus your effective bulk) by opting for even more damage. This is counterintuitive.

    In all fairness, they're implementable if it is governed by restrictions such as this one:
    I still dislike the concept though :l.

    so what youre saying is, high damage builds shouldn't be able to lifesteal sustain through everything or heal while doing a large amount of damage correct? then why does something like shaman exist where it does the most damage and heals itself. i mean, tanky builds do have lifesteal while still outputting a very very large amount of damage already. i really think it could come back with a restriction of course but i dont know exactly what yet. i would need to think of a way to implement it.

    Shaman in no way does the most damage. Among spell, shaman is actually either the second-lowest or middle of the pack in terms of dps (depending on the player's spellcasting speed, since Mage caps very quickly it will fall behind at faster cast speeds). Somewhere in my post history I did the calculations for this.

    oh yeah that's true cause spell costs are weird...regardless this could be very interesting. I feel like it might be really strong with soulflare when you can't use cinderchain (cuz double fire sad :() or maybe medis...or perhaps TWFA QUAD

    … interesting build. If a tanky build had both recovery and "very very large" damage then I wouldn't call it tanky anymore. That's just busted. If everything resembled this description, then distinct playstyles would barely exist.

    resurgence need hard nerf.
    It gives you a crazy mana regen and health regen, and there's very little penalty for it. mythic is designed to make a build without mythic, but there is no other item to replace this boots.
    for maximum mana regen, i think 5 is appropriate.

    personally I agree but also disagree. I think what it needs more is a fabled substitute (a non 90+ intel set of boots with as much mana as Aquarius) to make fire (or non high intel tri elemental builds with fire) not locked behind the mythic paywall. The boots themselves rolling up to 9mr in my opinion are fine. however I think the intel sp as well as perhaps the raw hpr are a bit much... note also that with 9mr but also -spell damage you aren't getting the same amount of spell dps as say a pair of boots without that -spell (if that makes sense lul)

    The advantage of resuregence is that can fill the mana regen with this one, and fill all other equipment with damage parts.
    Definitely requires mana regen fable boots of resuregence.

    well I think the way I see it is that it works because fire is generally much lower damage than other elements as most weapons have lower bases and the items tend to have lower damage %. That said resurgence negates the mana issue in a way I think is actually quite nice for the fire spell meta, however it's not fair that its locked behind a mythic paywall, just like how boreal locks hpr tank behind a mythic paywall (semphirical just needs another buff tho imo) but like I personally think a slight nerf and fabled would better solve the problem.

    Resurgence just needs to lose the Int bonus and possibly 100 of its hpr.

    Got an update for y'all. Be sure to check the other thread as feedback should primarily be there.

    The non-item stat changes mentioned:
    Health Regen Timer decreased to 4 seconds, from 10

    Thorns/Reflections now triggers prior to defence, instead of after

    Nearly all previously loot-exclusive armour and weapons are now regular obtainables
