Mage/Dark Wizard Help Water Mage Build

Hello,
I'm pretty new on that game (but i'm actually level 34...) and I really need a water mage build that will help me to pass the desert, since my actual build is... approximate for a water mage...
Since I'm completly lost with builder set (and because i'm don't know what stat use and what stat are useless for me...), I really need help for that, if anyone have an idea for the build, I'll take it.

put your skill points so you can wear everything and then all to intelligence

Just a note that it's not worth investing in a build at lower levels, just level up and use items as you get them. XP items are usually the recommendation.

Avalanche is a nice quest reward helmet you get at 43, it gives mana regen and xp bonus (not to mention water damage and int as well).
Don't waste your time buying items just for lower levels where you level up quickly.
