Short Story About Bloomi And Fruma's Possible Past

Morning everyone, I'd like to talk about Bloomi and Fruma.

I'm not a member of CT so everything I say is pure speculation.

As far as I know, Bloomi is a province close to Fruma, but outside of its sphere of influence (cube of influence? this is Wynncraft, after all).

Purists in this province were largely responsible for the evolution of human magic, which was outlawed to many serfs in Fruma after its discovery.

Riled up in anger, the fanatics in Bloomi started waging war. Human on human war. Fruma way outclassed Bloomi in military might, and the loser eventually disappeared from the face of the map.

In doing so, a millenia long evolution of human lust for power (for its own sake) started taking shape. Power. Position. The incumbent Empress had it all, but very few trusting her.

Lethal in all shapes and forms, this magic was deemed outlawed, with only a select few members of the court, the Imperial/Royal Guards and other notable members who were not a part of this court were allowed to even cast the simplest incantation.

Fruma entered its dark ages when the Corruption began spreading, forced to shut its gates to Wynn. The initial settlers quickly perished, as they had no way to fight against the Corruption.

Only those who were strong enough lived, but even they didn't live long. Corruption was magical, and their entire army (or whatever was left of it) had mere physical might that could not hope to match it.

One would wonder why didn't the survivors of the Fruma-Bloomi war would help the battered folk in Wynn. They were imprisoned in their own province, no way to get out, no way to help others. So they sought other ways of influence.

Light magic, they called it, was efficient in purging the corruption, but their knowledge of it was fairly limited to whatever samples they had been brought. Corruption was spreading deep, gaining power from influencing everything around it, making it impossible to remove, even to this day.

Some believe that Bloomi still exists, though only ruins and ashes of once a prospering community of mages remain in reality. Survivors settled in a far away land, hoping that one day, Corruption would end. It would not.
