The meteor damage may seem bad at 9.5k, but Entropy meteors fall 3x faster (or something like that) than normal meteors, so you get very good damage output.

Also, even good Pures aren't as expensive as other mythic wands. 99% of the cost of this build is from Pure, since all the other items are either cheap or untradeable.
