Lag Just Stole My Heartbreak Boots

I was messing with armor and I randomly got disconnected. I tried to rejoin but was disconnected 3 more times. When I got back I lost both sets of my boots. one of them were heartbreak which took forever to get. And I was just trapped in the jungle village with no way out I kept trying to get through the bridge but every time I tried to use a spell every thing would freeze for a second then teleport me and I would take a storm of damage and instantly die so I lost 3 le to that lag. But I know that's just how this server is sometimes. But is there anything I can do about the boots? cause jeeeez this sucks /:

 

I don't know about getting the boots back, but if its any consolation, the server's current lag is said to be due to the server's host having problems (possibly because of a certain virus). Thus, this problem may not be present forever.
