Studying The Corrupt - Adventuring Mage

hi,

im trying to do the quest studying the corrupt, and in it there's a part where you have to go to a certain area and find an npc called adventuring mage. ive found the npc, but im pretty sure its glitching out because it keeps disappearing every couple minutes and when i get close to it, or try to interact with it in any way, it does absolutely nothing.

is there something i can do to fix it?

 

this is quite a complex way to get around it, but the way I've dealt with it was just doing /class right where he usually spawns in, then logging back in and trying to click him before he despawns. there may be other methods but this has always worked for me.

 

I just walk away a short distance to unload the chunk and then walk back.

 

Im having a similar problem, except he isn't clickable either :/ like he's there and everything but I can't talk to him... Any ideas?

 

Have you investigated the collapsed tunnel already?
