Strange Lag Time Period

There have always been people complaining about lag issues and being stuck on 'loading terrain' screen.
In the morning and afternoon (9am to 7pm HKT) when the server has about 500-600 players online it doesn't lag at all, but from 8pm HKT onwards, there are only 400-500 players online but it's lagging like hell. I'm stuck on loading terrain screen like others. Even if I managed to get in a small server, it loads one chunk every 10 seconds. Can someone explain this?

 

You from Hong Kong? I have similar issues. When it is late afternoon and throughout the next morning. I can't load into the game, just keeps disconnecting me due to timed out. Late morning till early afternoon are the only period when I can really 'enjoy' the game.

Yes help it's 22:10 here in HKT and I'm having 777689 ms ping. I can barely open any chests, let alone dying long before I reach them as I get surrounded and devoured by mobs...
