Community Event Mythic Mistakes

Over the last year, I have met several players who have, on accident, either acquired or destroyed a mythic.
Half jokingly, we talked about making a club for such players; for some reason, we decided to go through with it.​

Spoiler: We have tags for people who have: (expand)

• Accidentally bought a mythic
  

  • Either by thinking they were purchasing something else, or without wishing to buy one in the first place.​

  ​
• Found a mythic on an Ironman​
  • This player uses ironman so often that they found a mythic on one.​
• Accidentally destroyed a mythic
  

  • After forgetting to item lock it, the mythic was destroyed in a hopper, in lava, or by the blacksmith.​

  ​
• Intentionally destroyed a mythic​
  • Although not technically a mythic mistake, doing this was probably still a poor financial decision.​

Allowed someone to borrow one, and they refused to ever give it back.
(Ive lost another one, from a friend dying while using it, and being at 2 soul points)

 

At least you had someone to be mad at. I only had myself to blame. :(

If you couldn't tell based off the 2 soul point part, I'm talking about an eariler update, back when mythics could drop.

I feel like that was fairly obvious.

 

Strange. I’ve been playing since 2014 (before mythics existed) and I don’t recall them ever being able to drop even with their initial addition to the game.

 

You must have been inactive, because yes, there was a time. Before the soul point changes where in place, and even a little after if I'm not mistaken.

By the way, it is funny that you wouldn't remember that, I laughed a little myself.

 

Nope was definitely playing since the release of Gavel and onward until Wynn decided to eat my Strati and never was there a time mythics could drop. Oh well, I’ve already conveyed all I wanted to. No further reason to comment.

If there’s anything to be laughing at it’s your passive-aggressive nature. There’s no purpose to it. I’d continue discussing if you dropped it, however.

 

I was also playing that whole time, and trust me, there was. I'm annoyed mostly because you keep flinging around how long you've been playing.
Which would be fine, until you realize i've been playing the same length of time.

Although I am a little confused as I mentioned length of time only once and it was used merely as supporting evidence to back my statement. It’s night though and I kinda wanna read (lol call me a nerd I love reading sometimes) so I’ll just leave it here. Good night (maybe? Maybe it’s morning there o.o)

there actually was a short span of time when mythics could be dropped!

hard to find any threads explicitly stating it because there were only a few people who lost their mythic to going AFK in Efelim but here’s some admins indirectly mentioning that it is possible in this thread about soul point changes:

Well, report the guy for """"borrowing"""", you can report people for scamming and I'm pretty sure stealing items falls in the same category. Also how mad was your friend to fight a boss at 2 soul points?

I threw a Hero into a hopper by accident while getting Necklace of a Thousand Storms. What was most annoying was than the necklace was the last piece of the build I was making for it :(
