    new song moment

this is a theme based on the scenario that at the end of a journey further, aledar sticks to the plan and fights you in an attempt to sacrifice you
to go with this setting, i tried making it a very desperate theme, and frantic as well--almost overwhelmingly so, with a bit of regret as well

i hope you enjoy, and make sure to leave feedback

You may disagree with me, but i think this one sounds a lot nicer than ragnar's theme.
The main difference is that in that theme, as i mentioned a while ago, the melody felt like it was random, mostly notes of the same length just being spammed with arpeggios occasionally. While it did repeat some times, none of it was very meaningful because of how random the melody was - I can't even remember how that melody goes after listening to it about 5 minutes ago (fun fact - I remember orphion's theme though).
In this piece, you have a lot more dynamics, meaningful bridges, and a melody that isn't too hard to remember. When listening to it, I can definitely feel that build up to the climax, which is done amazingly using some very nice drum changes and transitions. Im also happy that there is a part in the middle (i think around the one minute mark) where during a climax, the melody uses shorter notes down allowing for us to kind of "process" what is going on. The quieter, different melody after that sort of climax (that is around the one minute mark) is also pretty good because it is also not too hard to remember. The slow build toward the second climax with the percussion, is once again, pretty nice. Finally, the quiet part at the end gives us a good resolution.

Now my only really feedback would be this:
A lot of your pieces seem to basically just take four chords and repeat them. Now this is often the case with boss battle themes, but I think you should consider changing it up sometimes, because that is also a way to make a certain area with a certain melody more memorable. For example, you could take the quiet part after the first climax, and have it repeat just two chords (a lot of the time it is just I and VI). This would truly allow that part to be a little more "chill" and feel less aggressive.

All in all, this one is very nice and I think you should edit your signature to say that this is "probably your best piece" but it's up to you.

yeah, one of my main goals when making noteblock songs is to try and make my next song better than my previous, so whenever i see feedback like yours i try to take it into account

I went back to listen to this again, and while listening, I re-read my original post. Just want to clarify: If you want to have a boss fight which repeats 4 chords then that is totally fine, that is a valid way of making a boss theme. What I proposed was one way of doing it. If you take this song that was recently made by Euxis as an example, you can see how the chords change much more than in these boss themes. While their song isn't the right format for a boss theme, I think the chords are a good example of what you can do.
