Cant Yield Any Fish

    I am doing HIC and I thought cooking, scribing and alchemy were basically the same. I found out they are not so I want to start scribing. I can collect oak paper but every time I try to collect gudgeon oil I get the red X above my fish. I am only using a tier 2 rod. Can someone please explain how I can get the oil?
