Community Event The Great Lore Hunt: Volume 1

I'm afraid we must agree to disagree. I don't agree with you for one simple reason. The Wynn Plains are a) not explored much, and b) you and your searching will have some faults. Everyone's technique has problems. I for example, am really bad at thinking about history and how it ties in to lore. However, one of my strengths is being able to assess locations for lore value. Even if you think this is a waste of time, I have 27 potential people from the forums (and me and an irl friend) helping me. Even if we don't discover anything at all, it will be worth every second. If you want to know more about how I hunt lore, I'll be happy to explain!

No offense, but I think up to 29 people will have a smaller chance of overlooking something than one person.

 

I guess. What would be more fun is that you can organise these parties for more regions at a quicker pace, so that more lore is found out in less time. I'd probably join one of these events to come help and find stuff out :P

 

I think being thorough is more important than being quick. In the actual event, people will be sent to their location asap. I think this is worthwhile, ok?

 

What I mean is picking up the pace could allow you to uncover more lore in less time (in days or months). The event should go slowly and thoroughly, I agree with that. The thing is, holding the event at such a later time (Feb 22) slows the whole thing down imo

 

The reason I chose Feb 22 was:
a) slightly more ppl on holiday
b)gives me time to plan and sort out discord
c)if something goes wrong, I'll have more time to fix it.

And rest assured, if this goes well other regions will be explored maybe a few weeks in succession!

 

not everyone shares a holiday so it's not a major boost. especially because you're posting this thread on the forums, people from any country and region can see it.

i don't understand what could really cause a problem? I don't think 9 people would cancel their attendance on the same day or something, especially if you're mentioning "the holiday"

a) notice in my last post I said "slightly" - I know it won't be a big boost, but if even one or two more come then it's worthwhile.

c) The whole point of "things going wrong" is that it's unexpected.

If you wouldn't mind realising that my choices have already been made by me and that any complaints you make will do nothing, that'll be great.

Even if you won't be able to get to the event, you have my permission to post your findings on the discord. Please use the correct channel! I will be editing the thread once I have a better idea of the schedule.

I can't attend at time either, but Magma is fine if we do it earlier or later, as long as we report back. :D

 

Ooo, really? I might have to consider it then! I LOVE lore stuff, even small “insignificant” stuff.
