How Much Has The Game Changed The Last 5-6 Years?

I had started playing on this server around when it first launched and last played it 6 years ago (iirc). I have an archer class (level 36) from all those years ago where I have some quests done.

My question is if I should start completely over with a blank character? Did the early game change enough to warrant a blank slate and grind up again? I do like lore and gameplay but I won't go out of my way if it's not that significant.

If there's a way to redo the early game things without starting over that'd be appreciated as well.

Since the last time you played so much has changed to the point that it isn’t even recognizable anymore. I recommend a blank character.

 

100% start with a new blank character. Compared to five or six years ago, the game is unrecognizable. It's best to start over completely.
