Any Mythics (or Legendaries) That You Hate?

I never said it was. The problem is that I made a post saying life steal is a defensive stat, then @btdmaster replied to it and you replied to that. So in essence, while I agree that Atlas isn't a purely defensive, you were fighting in the wrong debate.

I still think this is an unfair comparison. Yes, life steal is the only purely defensive stat on Atlas, but I think comparing it to Conflagrate is somewhat disproportional. I think that in practice, Atlas is around 30% defensive, 30% utility, 30% offensive and 10% pure convenience on average. The life steal contributes to its function a lot more, because it doesn't have stats that completely overshadow or counteract it. Conflagrate, on the other hand, is some 15% defensive and 85% offensive in my opinion. It has life steal, but it also has stats that greatly lower it defensive value, which Atlas doesn't have. If you were to give Conflagrate a normal amount of health I think we can both agree that then it would be (completely broken and) some kind of tank fast melee item, some 50% defensive and 50% offensive. What I'm saying is that Atlas doesn't have factors counteracting its defensiveness, while Conflagrate does, which is why I think the comparison is flawed.

I get what you mean when you say the context is important, but I think we also need to look at what the ID does when you're actually using the build. Life steal can be used to great effect in a heavy melee build, indeed an offensively oriented build (but not too squishy). I have done The Eye many times with a heavy melee build, which had over a thousand life steal, without using any potions. Using life steal allowed me to not take any defensive measures such as using potions or having more defence on my build. As you said, you would only build thorns and reflection on a tanky build, but you still need to look at the function when you're using it. Cactus are usually made for PvP, so let's take a look at that. With a tank build, you're often not doing enough damage to reliably kill players with your melee and spells, so to fix that you try to incorporate thorns and reflection into your build. The way I see it is that life steal is a defensive ID for offensive builds and thorns and reflection are offensive IDs for defensive builds.

 

The one item that I don't really like in particular is sawtooth. I have basically no idea of what were they thinking when making this weapon - I mean, look at its stats (spell/main attack 20% dmg, all elemental dmg 10%). It is offensive yes, but boring asf, no other variations or gimmicks like other rainbow items does. For example like Alizarin, it does similar damage (or even higher) to sawtooth, but it is a weapon that is meant to be defensive (like health + ele def) and XP bonus.
While you are holding sawtooth, you don't have elemental defense from weapons (even though these are quite negligible) and just doing mediocre damage to enemies, while Alizarin or Yverlian blade could basically do the same thing, which make it just suck and doesn't worth 6 runs of FF to get it.

 

Sawtooth is a thunder weapon with elemental weakness coverage. Don't be fooled.

 

Okay then why don't I use Alizarin or other weapons if there are thunder def, also 20 req for ALL skill points means you can't really put hive armour in your build

 

Stratiformis is the most overpriced and the shittiest archer mythic in terms of damage. Also I don’t understand why it is so damn expensive when there is other archer mythics that are better except for its gigawalkspeed that u will actually hate when doing a parkour.

 

Strati is just fucking overrated and overpriced

 

Guardian. Why use Guardian when you can just use Apoc tierstack. I cannot comprehend why this mythic exists. Spell fire warrior is inferior to Apoc Tierstack.

Ignition: what even is the purpose of this weapon. It doesnt tank well, it doesn't sustain well, it doesn't damage well, it just doesn't do well...

Phoenix wing: do I even have to say anything about this thing...I swear you could give it 10000 hp and it would still be considered trash. This is hands down the worst of any legendary for me. Utterly terrible as much as I want to like it.

Damage buff all around could be nice but it is still quite good ;)

Saw tooth does significantly more damage than the others you mentioned and actually does about the same damage as nulli (about 50 to 150 less spins) it's just rainbow sucks ._. so let's get a rainbow ptsd rave going here!!

A bit unlucky on your part to be fair. The figure of 2.5k chests/mythic is an educated guess after the addition of lq and the extensive information I've seen from RemRin's discord, as well as my experience (like 8 mythics post-lq in 15k chests so ik what im talking about). Pre-lq it would have been even more trash though so that likely explains why you have 6 in 35k. Anyways this just supports my idea that Discoverer is overrated as fuck. I understand why people buy it, but I wish more people actually knew what they were talking about instead of just spamming "huehue discoverer = free mythics lolololololol!!!!!" without understanding how loot bonus works. I half expected some people to get pretty tilted at my comments about Disco but Im happy people like you actually agree with me lol
