Yesterdays Patch - The Eye Changes, Wynnter Fair, Bug Fixes

Yesterday a patch hit on all live servers with a few changes. It was mainly bug fixes, which is why there wasn't a patch thread made by Salted, but with it came some changes to The Eye, among other things.

I won't give exact details, but here are the rough changes to it:
- The Wretches and Beam no longer scale their activation rate with the number of players present.
- The Wretches and Beam have a shorter (halved) cooldown between activations and failures. This means that both attacks will activate more frequently than it did with only one player previously, but less frequently with multiple.
- Structure Voids are no longer present after the eating animation. This means that player spells should no longer get blocked when attempting to attack The Eye.
- Wretches now display a player title once spawned, alongside a chat message.
- Neutral minibosses now spawn on either side of the boss starting from Phase 3, going into Phase 4. Phase 3's are significantly weaker than Phase 4 and are neutral ranged, so they attack immediately upon getting attacked.

Other changes to the game:
- Wynnter Fair was removed.
- Items/Ingredients/Major IDs got changed.
- Numerous bug and quest fixes.
- Detlas Blacksmith and Armour Merchant got their locations swapped.

I believe I caught everything! These aren't official patch notes or anything, I just wanted to formulate one for anyone who's interested. Have a good one y'all =)

It means soloing it will be harder, but group play isn't punished as severely. Also with large enough groups the spells would cast onto each other so you just kinda lost, now it doesn.t

Major ID changes can be viewed on our thread under the item changes. That's where you can find them from here on out.

as i said, it now encourages group play better, but is probably overall easier (and potentially an exp grind spot) because of that exact same fact

Ah nice, no more continuous laser beam (we were getting near to continuous with just 5 people).

What does the bolded one mean btw?

 

More mini bosses and higher difficulty to solo? Hmmm...

 

It's easier to notice for new players. It's directly in your like of sight as you're entering from Ragni's direction, which isn't what it was before.

Like when you entire the fight, it says like "The Eye, Overseer of Wynn" or something similar. That's what it is.

I knew something had changed in Detlas today! I'm not quite sure why this was changed though... Having the Bank, Item Identifier, and Blacksmith all in one straight line was more convenient. I don't really mind this change though, as it barely affects anything (At least from what I can tell).

 

Are there any plans to buff the durability dernic crafting gives? the whole dernic crafting system is so laughably broken and badly designed to the point where dernic t3 materials are downright relatively often sold for less or the same as normal t3 level 100 materials.

 

The Eye encourages group play now! Yes! This is EXACTLY what I wanted!

 

Dernic materials shouldn't have been a thing until the real dern update came out and/or the level cap was raised to 110. The main thing that grinds my gears about dernic materials is how you have to use them in order to use lv 103-105 ingredients (If what I've heard is true). This requirement is ludicrous imo. It would've been okay if 103-105 ingredients were amazing compared to 100-102 ones, but for the most part, they aren't.

 

How's about you try it yourself and see then, before you make big sweeping statements like that
