How Does Endurance (powder Special) Work?

1) Does the fire damage of endurance stack for every hit you take? I heard some people say that it does (so for T6, 2 hits = +12% fire damage). If this is the case, is there a cap to it?

2) How does the duration timer work for endurance? Does the timer reset for every hit taken? For example, if you take a hit, the timer will start at 8 secs and start to count down. If you let that timer drop to 4 secs and take another hit, will it go back up to 8 secs?

When you say "Successive hits will each create a boost", does this mean that each hit has a separate timer associated with it?

 

1) yes, the dmg boost does stack upon hits, the cap for endurance is 200% (works like ID boost)
2) the timer does reset with each hit, so the duration of the boost depends on attacks taken.

to clear up confusion about boost CAP, these are the cap for every element passive.

 

How do you know these caps? I'm not inclined to trust any such info without reference given the amount of misinformation on powder specials that has been spread in the past.

 

I believe Motoki gave this type of info to IM when the item team was first created, feel free to confirm it with them, or selvut, assuming he knows.
And if you have any confusion about powders that need to be clarified, feel free to ask.

 

I simply conducted an experiment in-game to find out those values, like 2 years ago or so.
Yes I gave @RawFish those values a few days ago in DM, but I also said (I hope) I give absolutely no guarantees on those exact values. Alternatively you can go and test it in-game.
