What Happened To Swarms?

title says it all

they've tried updating and bringing them back multiple times now and it never worked, so they probably are never coming back

 

It got yeeted to space.

 

What are swarms ???

 

Every once in a while, a legion of monsters will swarm a city and players have to kill the monsters and defend the city. These events are announced 20 minutes prior in the world it's occurring in, so word would spread rather quickly and many players will soon gather in the to-be-sieged city. Swarms are extremely good, if not the best sources of xp in the game even in endgame, hence the reason why it draws in so much players.

Swarms were in-game in the few years before Gavel, and removed sometime before Gavel was released if memory serves me well. In recent years, the developers have tried bringing it back and conducted tests using the current system but I believe it was the lag factor that prevented swarms from coming back.
