What Does Wynncraft Mean To You?

I'm making a youtube video on Wynncraft, kind of a video essay esque type thing. Of course, i don't exactly want my opinion to be the only thing in the video, i want the community's opinion as well.

So the question is, what does Wynncraft mean to you? Like from the time playing wynncraft, the memories you made, and everything else. What comes to mind?

And an optional question of what made you love wynncraft so much. Thanks.

 

I didn't have any friends in real life and that is how I got here.
I don't think I have to say more than that.

 

Wynncraft is basically the best minecraft server and mmorpg I know of. I've been playing for five years now and I've never stopped liking the server so much. I wouldn't even call it a server since it's become so much different then Minecraft. What makes me love Wynncraft so much is that it's the best mmorpg I've ever played (I've played many and no mmorpg has sticked with me the better then Wynncraft) and it was one of the only things I could play when I had a shit laptop. It would be absolutely awesome if some game studio would invest in the server since it really deserves it.

Sometimes I forget I'm playing Minecraft

 

Ever since I first joined in 2014 I was stuck. I have met so many new people around here, more than anywhere else on the internet. The best part of my stay here was during my peak period when I joined the Content Team in 2015 and got to get close with so many awesome people. Like, really, the Content Team guys during the time I was there were great and despite our ups and downs, it felt like we were tight. Such a crazily unique gathering of people...

Wynncraft holds a special place in my heart as it's been a part of like almost a third of my life (holy shit). I have grown with it, since my early teens up until now, six years later. I will never forget it and everyone that is a part of it.

 

Wynncraft has something for everyone, and I love how I can enjoy different aspects of Wynn as I change as a person.

 

Wynncraft has more fucking bugs than the entirety of the Amazon rain forest, but at least they are all unique and that's why we love the server. Every time you try and do something, these bugs make it fresh and exciting. Also Yahya.

 

I never really had real life friends and even when i did, i never hung out with them.

Wynncraft was my go-to relax and have fun playing a fantasy styled game mode, and the vast fantasy world aka the mmorpg part of it is what made me love it.
I have also made a few great friends from Wynn.

So to answer the question, Wynncraft to me means a place to have fun and enjoy a fantasy adventure, alone or with friends.

 

What wynncraft means to me?

Binging once an update comes out, then losing interest after some weeks and going back to watching Anime for the rest of the year until the next update arrives.

 

A little too much, honestly, considering I know the world's layout better than my hometown's. At this point, I'd say Wynncraft is my life.

 

It's a really cool and ambitious server, very unique and fun.

 

If I had to pick one word to descirbe what Wynn means to me, I would pick home.

It gives me a place of belonging. Not just the game itself, though its hard to reject the idea of nostalgia playing into its sense of home. Mostly its due to the fact that I made family here. By family I mean a group of disfunctional friends.

Going back to the nostalgia factor, it does really feel like i've been brought back to the place I grew up. The game itself helped raise me, and through my hardest times has been here to support me.

If you put the two together, you have home.
Thats what Wynncraft is to me.

 

Wynn is the only thing I do within Minecraft at this point

 

I love seeing the growth of the game and where it came from. I even remember watching Salted's videos on Youtube way before Wynncraft was even a thing. But to see the improvements and unique pieces put into the game makes me enjoy it. From walking around seeing the basic trees of Wynn to now looking at over four different locations filled with hours and hours of content is awesome.

 

A Minecraft server that's actually unique, and not just "HEY GUYS WE HAVE BEDWARS JUST LIKE MOST OTHER SERVERS!!1!?!.!.!," creativity and something truly unique, not ripping other things off directly, is quite hard to come by these days, and I really appreciate how Wynn strives to be different.

It's the first community I've ever joined, and my most active. It's probably the best server I know of in terms of sheer creativity, even if some of it falls flat. I'd say that this server probably pushes the bounds of minecraft as a game engine further than any other in the game

 

To expand on this, sometimes I wish it wasn't mc- its so different it seems wrong
Maybe wrong isn't the right word but it's just... Completely out of mc world.
Although I guess that's what mc is for- a game with which you make whatever you want out of it

 

Wynncraft actually meant a lot to me since it was a huge part of my life!

Back in the days of CraftedMovie i was lucky enough to be noticed and recognised as an ok artist by the folks who played in there,
and i was so damn lucky that Salted and Grian noticed and liked my drawings and decided to bring me into their project.
It was like so exciting for me to start an art journey with the people i so admired (i was like.... the biggest Salted fanboy back in the day because of CraftedMovie)
and it gave me an opportunity to experiment and put my work out there. The crew always believed in the stuff I did and the experience helped me thru a lot back in
2013-2015 or so. Having the honor to have shaped the overall aesthetic and visual themes of early Wynncraft is a thing I'll never forget, alongside all the people
I've met in the process...

And the game was fun too! Didn't play it as much like some of you guys, but it's also been a journey just to see how much has changed since closed beta invisible spiders xd

So yea, altho i dont play the game anymore and very rarely stay on forums, this place and this game still holds a big space in my heart <3
