The Shaman Class (or the Shaman Ramen).

I do realize it has only come out recently, and I can't make a good suggestion for the class, but I shall express the pros and cons and perhaps an in-depth detail about it.

    Pros
    • The Shaman has three projectiles as the primary weapon, making it a far more dangerous opponent than a wizard.
    • The Shaman has incredible range and can destroy squads of monsters with little repercussions to one's self.
    • The Totem power gives you an attack boost and damages mobs in its area for about 20 seconds, and it's somewhat cheap.
    • Since the Shaman is new, you'll be on everybody else's level of experience, so you don't feel insignificant.
    • The Shamans Totem can also buff up your allies, which makes the Shaman Class a Support Class.
    Cons
    • It took me about an hour and a half to realize I could barely change the direction of where my Totem lands.
    • The Shaman's Haul ability is very mana wasting, and it requires the Totem of which is hard to control where it lands.
    • The bad news about the new Shaman class is that you can't buy your stuff from the Trade Market since it's a new class.
    • The defense is 50%, which is DEADLY. You have to spend about all your skill points of Defence and Agility to stay alive.
My thoughts on the weapon? It looks like you are holding a crucifix while yelling, "BEGONE DEMONS!"
In other words, it's hilarious, and I love it.

I give the Shaman class 4/5 Nuggets.
    Why not 5/5 Nuggets?
Because of the defense sucks and the fact that TWO of your other magic abilities rely on the Totem.

    Tips for Shaman Class

    1. Go for armor before upgraded weapons because you will die instantly to the weakest of mobs.
    2. Whenever using your Totem and surrounded by mobs, use the spell looking straight up or down. (Unless you want the Totem to fly toward a semi-faraway mob squad).
    3. I recommend using the Haul ability if you also want to move your Totem a bit.
    4. If you have Mob Totems, combine them with your Totem, and you have an XP farm. (Highly OP)
    5. Do as little close quarters as possible. This will make melee bosses very hard for Shaman class, but you will persevere with the right armor and potions.
    6. If you are not using the Totem, but other people around you are in a fight, chuck the Totem over there and mind your own business. (This is a scummy move because you still receive XP from whatever is inside the Totem and dies).

Thank you for reading (why) my rant on the Shaman Class and have fun with it.

The low defense honestly hasn't been much of a handicap for me so far; I was able to escape most situations with haul or aura (aura's pull is insane) and did enough damage that I generally didn't end up in a bad situation again. Even with mediocre defense and agility I haven't encountered many real threats as of level 70.

Every single one of your cons can be resolved by getting better at the game.

There's plenty of shaman weapons on trade market, and shaman gets insanely high xp bonus earlier than all the other classes. (Thanks, Stress!)

Shaman has amazing CC, use it! Manipulate mobs so you don't get hit, that's the point :/
    If you're "instantly die[ing]", that's a you problem.

Totem + haul is a combo that takes players a few seconds to learn, and it's a pretty good movement spell (really fast startup, easily controllable).

    Some "actual" cons:
    - lower damage output thanks to aura's animation
    - higher risk in melee builds

Barely change where you can move your totem? When launching your totem forwards it moves about 8-10 blocks forward and if you want to place your totem right above you just look up and summon the totem, also the Uproot spells will help you be able to leash in mobs as well as your totem, and the third spell upgrade for it will allow you to push your totem and mobs. Now yes Shaman is usually stationary to their totem but Uproot and Haul utilizes that weakness.

Haul only requires like -1 mana or 2, also the spell wasn't really intended for transport but for evasive maneuvers, now there is this diffcult to master strategy of throwing your totem, and shift Uproot to knock it, making you jump about 15 blocks in total, but it's pretty hard to time.

The trade market gig was a problem upon Shaman's release, but now the problem's actually kinda gone down, prices seem a lot calmer now.

The defense was actually going to be 40%, but was changed to 50% to be honest to it being "twice as much dmg as usual", but it's not that bad of a disability, I mean, when I fought CoW, I didn't focus and it used its signature Multihit and I was gone, but then I tried again and made sure CoW stayed in my totem and remembered to recharge my totem with Uproot

This but semi unironically. The aura prison basically guarantees than melee mobs can’t touch you.

Or join the cult of poison shaman and use the totem+ uproot combo to just murder them all from a good distance

      ,
Half an hour? Took me 10 minutes to get the hang of totem, being able to throw it far is actually neat if you're being swarmed, throw it behind the bombs and aura, should pull them back.
    • The Shaman's Haul ability is very mana wasting, and it requires the Totem of which is hard to control where it lands.

For movement in general maybe but for actual combat it is a lifesaver and allows you to make some really interesting combos and movements.
    • The bad news about the new Shaman class is that you can't buy your stuff from the Trade Market since it's a new class.
Not really a con, I reckon it should be easy to get stuff in a few weeks.
    • The defense is 50%, which is DEADLY. You have to spend about all your skill points of Defence and Agility to stay alive.
Yeah you also have totem which heals you every second, uproot that pushes mobs back and aura that pulls mobs and cages them within the totems radius. Unless you are new to Wynn the defence should not be a problem, shaman is a difficult class but skill more than makes up for it.

Overall the only bad thing about shaman is that tierstack/melee only builds are going to suck due to the low defence (Unless you and don't mind using melee at mid range only which has less damage than close range melee).

It is also really easy to grind with shaman, get someplace high and spam spells or melee. You could also just run around a grind spot with your totem in the middle.

    Here's the thing about Shaman:

Yeah the defense is pretty trash, but it kinda has a mage heal spell in a way (1st Totem upgrade). Also, yeah the 2nd and 3rd spells rely on the Totem, but that's kinda their thing. I don't really think that's a problem if the whole class is based around it.
