This is actually a great point, and I have updated the rules accordingly; that said:

• As Linny mentioned, "movement spells exist" -- this should make it possible to escape.
• I am confident that I have enough moderation measures in place to effectively detect if this happens and act accordingly.

• I can say categorically that this sort of behavior will be detected, which I hope will allow everyone an opportunity to express their disappointment to whomever chooses to do this.
• To paraphrase Linny, I hope that everyone will be mature enough not to do this.
  
• I have a few measures in place that I hope will mitigate this concern; I will not reveal them though as it would likely lead to increased circumvention.

• As Linny said, this would be detected by the camera alts and the chat logs (for people with ranks)

• Teaming is always a possibility, but I think I can keep it subtle enough to mitigate the impacts (i.e. players not targeting each other, which is easy enough to beat.)
  
• Any blatant and obvious teaming is very likely to be noticed through the camera alts; in my opinion, it isn't worth the risk of disqualification for an advantage that small.

I have considered every island on the map, as well as every above-ground area easily accessible by lvl 33 characters; all of them have at least one of the below problems:

• The proposed venue is not easily accessible from a safe zone.
• The proposed venue is smaller than the Banquet Hall.
• There are hostile mobs in the proposed venue that are between the levels of 10 and 105.
• The terrain within the proposed venue is highly uneven and would be too difficult for combat with large groups of people.
• The proposed venue is insufficiently bound; it would not be practical to monitor people entering or exiting the area.
• It would be impractical to denote a rigid border around the area, which risks moderation quality due to the chat log radius.

While there are some better venues that meet the above criteria, all of them are quest-locked to a level over 50; as this event is asking people to take time out of their usual routine to level a throwaway character, forcing participants to level for several hours (as is required for lvl 50) is not reasonable and is therefore likely to significantly decrease participation.

I'm certainly looking forward to it, seeing what criteria you were looking for makes me understand why you chose the venue, and it has grown on me thinking more about it. Altough i just hope that the total amount of contestants won't be too insane, that would just make the early stage not much more than a gamble of a clusterhell hoping you don't die from several stray bomb arrows or meteors.

 

What time exactly does the event take place? This sounds amazing.

 

We don't entirely know yet; we are still scheduling it -- all participants have been given access to a poll that will be used to choose the date(s) and time(s).

 

do you have a counter against a guild breaking up into their own ones, teaming for the battle royale and returning to their original guild after the event?

 

For the guild question, that is encouraged; as we can only have one person per guild, we hope guild-members will be willing to leave their guild a few mins before the event, compete, then rejoin their guild.
For the teaming question, I have taken measures to prevent that in general.

Yes; all crafteds (including potions, scrolls, and food) are allowed, as are all health and skill potions.

 

Do you have to use the hunted game mode or can you just turn on hunted mode when the fighting is gonna start?

 

You can only toggle hunted on and off on classes that have done a hunter's calling
