Archer/Hunter A Brief History Of My Builds And A Cry For Help

Greetings, i am Torpid. But you may refer to me in any of the following ways:
- Torpid Torpedo
- PopnPopn
- Big Chip
- Boah
- Shlacc shronker of worlds

And i am in extreme need of assistance. For all of my life i dont think i have been able to figure out how to make even a single good archer build. This is my earliest known build ever:

several pieces of it have been lost to the sands of time, but i was able to remember a few.
Then i showed a few people this build and asked "Is there any part of this build that is a big flaw?"
to which they responded savagely "I dont think there is a part of this build that isn't a big flaw."

So after that ordeal i decided to make a new build. Which i can remember a lot more of, and is as follows:

And then i showed it to some different people for comparisons, to which i was told: "It's better, but still horrible."

Then i went "Okay this is too complicated it's time to just do mana regen"

Now this one, i was told was "alright", i used it for a while, but still failed LI even with 2 people helping, and also failed to do Qira's hive after countless tries.

Then i asked somebody what they used to beat LI and they told me "Morph and cluster" and i went "morph and cluster" and tried that.

I didnt beat Virus Doctor.

It is definitely possible that it's just a lack of skill, but i am quite sure it's not. So please, PLEASE.

Across all stars, all times, from one maker of music to another, no matter what you do or who you become, please, please.

Make me a good build.

I have one single restriction, no Mythics. I only have 1 stx left to make this build, i do however own Crusade Sabatons, so if you want to use that in a build that's fine. But i beg you, please just make me a build that can beat Qira and/or LI.

anthracite melee has good sustain and survivability and should work pretty well, as long as you can land your shots

This seems pretty good, but it only has elemental damage, wont i get obliterated if a boss has elemental defense? (example: every actually difficult boss)

bring multiple weapons-- a powdered cluster or stinger is nice, or an unpowdered one if you really need neutral.

Not really. Especially with Archer's high base stats, enemy Elemental Defense are rarely a problem. Generally, they'll reduce your damage by a little bit, but not kill it. However, it's still nice to carry around a secondary for the few mobs with very high Air Defense. Thunder or Water Powdered Hive Bow and Torrential Tide are three decent options.

Hunter's Calling might be a bit difficult if build isn't good enough to solo Virus Doctor

neutral heavy melee*
tierstack is stacking attack speeds up on a weapon to get higher dps
centipede, coi, twilight-gilded, physalis, accelerator, breezehands etc are all tierstack items

don't let druser hear you say anything about elemental defense lmao
on a serious note, elemental defenses don't have multiplicative or exponential scaling. it's a raw value. therefore, a -200 air defence will only make you take 200 more damage from air attacks. anywhere below 0 defence doesn't change anything. the tierstack build can get up to 105 agility, though, which is a 67% dodge chance

also, archer isn't supposed to stand in one place and attack, it's supposed to not get hit and run around while dps-ing when possible

-50 defense doesn't increase damage taken and elemental defenses don't matter unless you have like - 1000 or something.
105 agi means like 70% of things that hit you actually just do nothing so yeah.
The build has no lifesteal thats why I recommend stinger cause low attack tier lifesteal more consistent.

Your plan is to not get hit and when you get hit dodge it with agi with that build. Plus its a meme build but it'll get the job done with Qira cause 20k melee dps neutral. If you want a competitive build use the gale's force build I posted earlier.

That's a generic aquarius TWA build that won't help @Torpid survive if they aren't doing well currently
And it's not even that good in comparison to actual gales force builds

How far are you in hive? Did you beat everything except for qira?

Just dodge things, if you cant dodge then its probably because of lack of skills.

Btw you dont need to care about -def
Def only applies to neutral attacks, which most mobs dont do.
Elemental defense only matters if the mob uses fast attacks or if its more than -500.

 

I called it a meme build cause while it works against other mobs it specifically destroys Qira cause its pure neutral.

The stats of the build aren't horrible in general. 22k Melee dps is decent for tier stacking, 105 agi means its kinda hard to even get hit although the 10k health is lacking. Dual wielding a stinger lets you get high lifesteal.

EDIT: Actual Gale's force build?

EDIT 2: The build works and when you start switching things out for LI stuff it does more while having usable survivability, sure it doesn't begin to compare with mythics but thats cause mythics straight up do more damage.
