Anyone else ever have this issue? I'll randomly start failing to gather items NONSTOP up to 85 times in a row as of last time it happened to me. This is even with max success rate and tier 3 tools on low level resources such as copper.

 

yeah. refining rate only goes up to 90% (i think. definitely doesnt go up to 100%), leaving that extra 10% chance of nada. and rng is a bitch.

 

That may be true, but failing 50+ times in a row with a 90% success rate makes no sense.

 

2 questions:
1. Do you have extra tools on you?
2. Do your tools have any durability?

Those are the 2 main explanations I can think of

 

I have no extra tools on me, and how do I monitor tool durability? My tools don't seem to show any durability gauge.

I'm still getting used to the changes, last time I played was back when you had to refine your materials at a refining station, that was a time when tools didn't have durability. It was before Shaman even came around.

Ah right, it was also before resource deposits became individually spawned (back when one person would gather a deposit and it'd vanish for everyone)

 

The update came out a month ago lol

 

That was never a thing. 1.18 came out a year ago.

 

Then I last played a year ago.
