Video Sneak Peeks Of A Slykaar Fight I'm Working On (gifs, Cmd Blocks/functions)

Hello, gamers!

I don't believe I've posted anything about this here, but for a little bit of time now I've slowly been chipping away at my attempt of a true Shaman boss fight. What better test subject to use than Slykaar, the resident whiny kid of Undergrowth Ruins?

In advance, this is a series of gifs (ok fine webms) that shows off the first bits of a custom Spellcasting AI I'm making. There will naturally be more sophisticated AI later in the fight.

Before we start, a big thank you to @shamos200 for helping me test Shaman's Melee and @Bart (MC) for making the gamer Slime Totem reskin!

Also also, Damage and slykaar's "replacement"'s movement were disabled for testing.

Gif 1 - Shaman's Melee (+ auto melee)
This kind of feels unfair, as it's basically impossible to dodge close range (then again, so are most ranged attacks from mobs). Most of this is subject to change, but I needed a working prototype for the AI.

Gif 2 - Condition Alpha
This is the first check done so far. If there isn't currently an active totem anywhere, Slykaar's AI will cast one in your direction. Pretty simple.

Condition Alpha - Totem Cast

Gif 3 - Condition One
Assuming there's already a totem, Slykaar checks for his and your presence in its radius. This condition fires when both you and Slykaar are in the totem's radius. Slykaar casts Aura, then Melees you for good measure.

I do realize the realistic AI here would be him spamming aura with an occasional uproot.

Condition One - You + Slykaar in totem range

Gif 4 - Condition Two
This is the second condition - You're in the totem's range, but Slykaar isn't. Catching up's nice, so Slykaar casts Haul (twice) and then Melee when he's near you. Later AIs will augment this behaviour, of course.

Condition Two - You in totem range, Slykaar not

Gif 5 - Condition Three
And now for the REVERSE of condition two - Slykaar is in the totem's range, but You aren't. What happens? Slykaar tries to get you close with Uproot. After that, if you're in the totem's range, he casts Aura. If you manage to dodge the totem, Slykaar isn't stupid enough to do nothing, and promptly Melees you.

Condition Three - Slykaar in totem range, You not

And finally, this condition - Neither of you are in the totem's range. What happens? Well, slykaar decides having a totem for later sure would be cool. He casts Totem at you, then Hauls, THEN melees for good measure. Naturally, this behaviour has room to change quite a bit, but this is the easy mode AI.

Condition Four - Nobody in totem range

And... that's everything!
... that I'm willing to show for now. There'll be PLENTY more, but I post semi-frequent sneak peeks in discord's #your_work channel as ???. All I have to say is This fight will be refined more and more (incorporating Novalescent's style of fight is up there on the todo list), and I hope it'll be cool!
