SPOILER What Happens When You Open A Chest With More Than 100% Negative Loot Quality?

Hi, for some reason I had too much LE in my bank, so I decided to spend like 16 of it on this absolute nonsense. If you were ever wondering what would happen if you opened a chest with more than 100% negative loot bonus, I can finally give an answer to this fantastic question:

It seems like you are unable to find any type of item. The chests just have blank spaces where those items normally would be.

As you can see in the video, I am unable to get items from chests. I opened around 15 chests on an old server to maximize my loot and I didn't find a single unique while wearing the gear. I was also wearing a discoverer to ensure enough loot will spawn. Also, it seemed like the chests did not have more of the other loot (like emeralds, powders and ingredients) inside to compensate for the missing items. So you can't even use the gear to maybe farm ingredients from chests.

So there you have it, if you enjoy opening chests but absolutely despise getting those ugly boxes in your chests, then this gear is probably the right choice for you (but be careful, it only has 1 durability and getting hit once will cost you 1 and a half stacks of scrap to repair it).

 

I wonder if combining high loot bonus and low loot quality is an effective way to farm for ingredients

Anyways

Now im kinda interested in negative loot bonus. Is it just going to be empty again or is it only weapons and armor this time?

Now I know why I got no mythics after 14000 chests, looks like i gotta double up the negatives
