As the title states, the following thread is going to be my hopes for the future of Wynncraft. I will start with some small, easy changes and then build into the further future.

The most recent 2 updates have given a LOT to do in the game with the introduction of a new class, region, professions, mini-quests etc. Yet, despite all of these awesome additions, I feel that the next update really needs to focus on polishing them off.

    1. Mini-quests for 100+. There has been a new region for level 100+ with new mobs and ingredients, yet no slayer posts (or gathering posts for that matter). This is an easy addition which would make the levelling slightly easier and it would make the end-game less dungeon-grindy.

    2. On the subject on mini-quests, gathering mini-quests should give a tier 3 material as a reward to encourage actually making good items (also very helpful on HIC) (Woodcutting mini-quest would give 1 T3 paper and 1 T3 wood for example).

    3. Let's go for another easy one which is almost certain to happen anyway - More Fabled items and more Major ID's (Or at least, on more items). At the moment, so few items have Major ID's that they don't really feel like they're part of the game unless you have excellent luck (or get some basic ones from quests). Fabled items need to be at every level of the game and need to really increase in number too.

    4. Corrupted Galleon's Graveyard ( I'm sure that it'll be added, I just want the forgery to be complete xD )

    5. Quest helmet's need to disappear. SAYING YOU CAN GLITCH THEM OUT OF YOUR INVENTORY IS NOT A VIABLE RESPONSE. Quest helmets quickly add up when you have lots of classes and they could easily be untradable instead and purchasable from an NPC (e.g. climbing helmet at Ice Islands, Factory Helmet in Bucie, the dumb-ass helmet you make in Realm of Light should just be removed from the game, I actively hate its existence. But anyway, it's an easy fix to a problem of filling pages of bank space with pointless stuff that you use once or twice ever (Shout-out to the Breathing Helmet for getting this right!).

    6. Fast-travel for the Silent Expanse. During A Journey Further, you are introduced to these void-teleport-y holes which instantly teleport you to another location. I would make it so that there a new ones of these which allow the player to travel around the various parts of the Silent Expanse (It's waaay to linear at the moment - e.g. Mining area, then Olmic City, then Eyeball forest, then Lutho, then Toxic Wastes, then Orange bit. Once you've completed the level 102 quest, you should be able to jump from any of these into another one (provided you know where the void hole is) - Seems like a simple QoL fix to me.

    7. Client-side loot chests. I believe it was spoken about in the CT stream a while ago and it seems like an amazing idea (especially for loot-runners). It basically means that the loot chests that spawn are tied to each player and therefore cannot be stolen.

    8. More secret discoveries! I love these and I'm sure that they'll fill the world one day, but I wanted to express my love of them.

    9. Fixing the missing areas. By this, I mean Grootslang dungeon, Dullahan's Castle and Orphion's Dungeon. These areas are now 4 years old and are still not in-game.

    10. Quests. I know that with each update, more quests are added and revamped, but there are a couple of areas in the game which need quests added. Level 47 and Level 99. I have an easy fix for level 99, make a quest in the void region! I love the void area and it needs to be fleshed out more (lore too) and level 99 fits perfectly with this.

So that's my list of things that I'd really love to see in the future. There's actually one more major change, but that needs a thread to itself (It's professions - because they suck). Anyway, Happy New Year!

    0. Housing.

    1. Making a tutorial that introduce the game properly.

    2. Fixing PVP.

    3. Improve banks in terms of navigation (btw, it’s easier now but still needs improvement) and organizing. Also, making the pages from 13-21 cheaper (and adding more pages for those who already bought them).

    4. Adding unique items that you can only get from minigames (Zhgiht Cave, add more mini game please), they aren’t necessary but fun to use. Like potions that gives special effects.

    5. Making it possible to play the Grook quest multiple times to check all the possible routes.

I mean its good in text but when you have a server thats already running for 6 hours then all the loot chest will be full. I guess you could fix it by limiting server runtime to 3 hours max. Other than that i totally agree with client-side loot chests

Loot chests need a rework if they are to be balanced. The whole thing where older servers have more loot is actually pretty ridiculous when you think about it, and they should definitely change the entire system.

I agree, after making chests client sided, they could just make a loot chest have a consistent range of number of items which is only affected by lb/lq, and these chests could maybe respawn every 30mins-1hr? This way a lootrunner can just stay on the same server and get in several runs without worry of every chest being empty.

They have been planning a main storyline for a couple years, and I would like to see it happen. Maybe with the release of Fruma we'll get a taste of it, seeing as Fruma seems to plays a major role in the storyline.

    This would be incredible,
As a new loot runner myself who almost has memorized a route for rodoroc it is quite frustrating going into a server that’s old and waiting 3ish minutes and then beginning a run only to find someone had just done the entire place, forcing me to go to another server to do it again. Client side chests would be a godsent. Some stuff needs to be client side to fix the issue of competition, there’s a reason why other mmorpgs implemented the system. As it’s the most fair solution for loot for all parties. (It would also fix my shitty sleep schedule cause I do my lootruns at like 2am-4am. >.<)

I absolutely agree with this. When I first saw major ids in the trailer reveal, I got really excited because I thought it would allow for more gimmicky builds to come into existence. Unfortunately, there's just not enough of them to really allow that idea to flourish. Sure, you've got things like stacking madness with sorcery, but that's about it. They don't even need to be as practical as something like greed or hawkeye. Hell, lightweight exists and it basically has no purpose aside from some Archer too distracted by the Golden Avia bird as they walk off a god damn cliff.

Another thing would be updating the Nether Portal and the lore surrounding it. Give it some sort of purpose even if it is just bringing back the pre-gavel pvp arena there. I would prefer if there was something new entirely done with the nether as it desperately needs some more details in terms of the lore (currently it is unclear whether the nether and the corruption that comes from it is an extension of darkness, which is what it seems with newer quests post-gavel, or its own separate entity, which was told to us from Wynnex Site D).

At the moment, Wynnex lore appears to be in need of serious revamp, as the Olm literally destroy the Ancients existence, also SPOILER we see Bak'al talking to the "Dernic Beast" and acting as some sort of minion, which could suggest that Darkness and Corruption have a mutual relationship of some kind, thing is, Corruption is made when both Light and Dark collide, as learned from Aldorei's Secret Part II

fabled are supposed to be between mythic and legendary, and since mythics only appear at like, idk, 11 or 12 percent of levels, fableds should only be at like 20 to 24 percent of levels

I agree with everything here, but I also want to add that a combat and dungeons rework would be really nice eventually. with the rest of the game evolving around them they're arguably some of the most stale mechanics right now. new dungeons have been doing fine with working within the dungeon system, but the dungeons are just way too limiting (designed to be grinded, way too linear, gauntlet-like design)

I agree with everything including client sided lootchests. They took a really hard nerf in 1.18 and I think that would fix things. This would make people not fight over chests. Imagine if gathering wasn't client side, would suck.

One thing I would like is a main storyline from lvl 1 to lvl 104. These can tie in with other quests. Start main storyline, get more lore, to do the next quest you have to do all the other quests before it. So it could tie in with any quest and influence/be influenced by them.

If theres a main quest at lvl 50, you need to do every quest before it to be able to do the quest. And obviously previous main quests.

Loot chests didn't receive a nerf in 1.18, they actually got a small buff. Loot for the chests didn't change, but what did change is how often the loot gets added. pre-1.18 loot chests would get more loot added every 5 minutes (just taking this number as an example i dont know the real value). Post 1.18, they would refresh every minute, but with less loot (again, i dont know the real number).

Also comparing client side gathering to client side loot chests is not fair at all, as gathering refreshes extremely fast compared to loot chests, and doesn't have a higher effect when it hasn't been used for a while (unlike loot chests).
