hello, i'm back. silent expanse is pretty neato, here's a new song from me-

honestly pretty happy with how this turned out, but i'm still not quite hitting that 'Wynncraft' tier mark in terms of quality.

This is amazing, as I've said already! I honestly think it's Wynn quality. Keep it the heck up.

    This is great!!!!

But as always, I have some feedback:
    • Your chord scheme of Cm Bb Ab G is very cool and "wynncrafty" at the start, but after 5 minutes we are feeling less interested in it. You should definitely try to make some part in the middle/a chorus that uses a different chord scheme.
    • Every time you start to do a sort of build up (like the measure at 1:26), after the build up it sort of just... continues (1:36). There is no fanatical note spamming that we usually get after a bridge like that. To improve spots like that a little bit, I suggest you do these two things:
      1) Play with the percussion a little more. Don't leave the snare on the 2 and 4 and the bass drum on the 1 and 3. You have the make the drums more dynamic and moving.
      2) Play broken-up chords with the wynn-harp in the background - it will help create a "fuller" listening experience for that part. Also make the melody faster, with more notes.
    • The melody doesn't have to descend with the bass line. When learning jazz improvisation, one of the first "rules" was that the melody (or improvisation) should not follow the bass notes (even though you have many more notes in between each descent, the melody's "skeleton" is built on the bass line). It feels like there are just two basses playing instead of an independent bass line + a melody. Try to change things up a little.
    • In general, your percussion feels very static. To make it more dynamic, don't be afraid of adding bridges and more "moving" drum parts.

That's a lot of helpful advice actually. Thanks! I'll try to hopefully work out the kinks you've said in this one with the next. which i do not know when i'll be making another proper song like my previous ones.
