I think that the community (not the official Wynncraft) can add rating on every items. Their damage, dps, hp bonus, etc. All ID are converted into values, different values will undergo different algorithms to obtain different aspect of rating, like total damage, ability to survive, loot bonus, etc.
One of the best advantage is that it can be used as a direct reference on which aspect the weapon is specific at.
For new players, it would be a decent reference

Isn't that the entire point of the Item Team making posts asking the forums about their opinion of certain items? Also couldn't this just be added into something like Wynndata? @dukioooo

I think that the suggestions is to add them to in-game items, for players with no idea that the forums or wynndata even exist.

But who's to say what is objectively better? Almost everything is situational, and based on what fits your build and playstyle. Damage is typically worse than mana regen, but is it better to have 1k meteors and 20/4 or 20k meteors and 1/4?

I think there asking for things that can be objective, like survivuabilty and Dps.

Which in general, I feel like the game needs to state DPs on a weapon, as not to confuses lower level players.

I mean giving numerical rating on everything, not just comment like for Rainbow Build, good, bad, etc.
    ________________________________
Without Mana Regen ID, you regen 5 Mana per 4s (1 per 0.8s, from wiki)
    With 1/4, you regen 6/4
    With 20/4, you regen 25/4
    6*20>>1*25
    Trivially 20k meteor is better

Yeah, that's my point. You can't just say that mana is better. But if your build has no mana, it's typically worse than having worse damage and mana. But if you have 10/4 mana regen, 2/4 isn't as useful to you. If you already have good mana, you'd probably get more useful was from a helmet that gives damage, like aphotic than third eye. However, if you only have 2/4 mana regen on the rest of your build, third eye is generally much better. Of course, that only applies if you're looking for more sustained damage. If you want a one shot build, maybe something that increases your damage more would work better.

Other than possibly calculating DPS and spell damages properly, I don't see any ratings being truly objective.

Avalanche, Mummy's Rag, and Chef Hamsey's Apron are the best quest helmet/chestplates though (if you don't count hive/ornate)
