Build Selchar Fan-made Remake (still W.i.p)

Hey, I'm back again! this time I decided to remake Selchar, though, I might've overcommited, I made the island 5x larger than it is, I also made the bridge natural since I was too lazy :p, this is still work in progress and my progress for the last 4 days of making this is probably 10% of the whole build

I planned on posting this on Christmas or the day after but this was just too big, but I am determined to finish this lol. I'll place the water back if im done editing the ocean floor so for now Selchar is experiencing drought

This is some amazing stuff!

The builds here look very "wynncraft-y" and I love it. The job you did with the terrain is fantastic. The way you assorted the colors on the rocks is such a very cool detail. The builds - moreso the houses give off a strong vibe that tells you its from Wynncraft. The colors of the roofs add alot to this too. However, my criticism is that the little wooden platform on the first picture has noo supports, but it's in WIP, so I can't really judge stuff yet. But overall, you are doing a very good job.

 

They accepted Builder Appeal for you? You would be useful to them. EVEN MORE. They would make the Remake of Gavel faster with your help.

Pretty damn good mate! Truly captured the Wynncraft feel in the trees and buildings and most of all the terrain!
Very well done!

 

I really like it... just, uhh, chill with the blendball on your terrain. It's... eery?

 

This looks very cool, pretty much nailed modern Wynn style (terrains a bit too smooth tho)

BUT If the build was in Wynn I feel it wouldn't work well gameplay wise
Especially the high up natural bridge

Still, very cool and good build

 

im still working on my oversmoothing tendencies, but i feel like im slowly getting there! lol

 

Trees look excellent! terrain is mediocre though, just looks like a big blob that has been colored in the usual "terrain colors". Although I do congratulate you on coloring it with a gradient brush this time instead of replacing it with random blocks. Structures look great. It is good that you did not over detail but I would like to see some more shape and life in these structures. Maybe consider diagonal houses to make it appear less rooted on the horizontal axis of Minecraft. Good attempt!

 

actually it has diagonal houses now, just too lazy to share it lmao

also im not the best at terrain, more of a structure and atmosphere/trees/foliage kinda guy
