How Did You Guys Do The Escort Portion Of A Journey Beyond?

    To be honest, I don't know. I guess I spammed meteor a lot? Sometimes threw one at Aledar cart to kill rats.

    The worst phase is the Dernic Wanderer swarm. During it, if you can't control the situation, make a tactical retreat. Aledar will be fine.

    Also, what part did you specificly have problems on? Or is your build suitable?

    Heres my build, in place of the weapon for the dernic outlanders i used morrowind. Any time I leave to go on top of a tree in the outlander part Aledar always gets attacked and my meteors dont ever reach him

    The Dernic Wanderers in particular (the rapid ranged mobs) are way too strong and very tanky too. It's really annoying.

    The Dernic Outlanders aren't ranged, they teleport a lot. Are you thinking of the Sickly Toxins? Cause I nerfed them.

    Yeah, that's what I'm thinking of. The Dernic Outlanders are also super annoying, being as tanky as they are and impossible to track.

    Naw the sickly toxins are not bad if you can get on top of a rock or something. The enderman that are high on cocaine when your fighting them are awful. They should either not teleport as often or have less health. I would say remove the water defense but that a solution to just my problem, not the overall problem

    I forgot what elemental defenses the mobs have but when I ran the quest on my mage, I was using a water, thunder, fire build and did it first try (post-nerf). I believe that Judas can clear most of the mobs with ease since I don’t recall switching to Peaceful Rest (ny fire wand) or Nepta often (if not Judas, then I was using one of the other two wands). I was able to one shot the small creatures with ice snake and I spammed heal against the ranged mobs. My meteor 1-2 shot each of the ranged mobs.
    Your build does a lot of damage but I believe a water/thunder or water/fire build is more suited for this quest. Don’t take my word for it though because I only recall most of the quest on my rainbow archer.

    The enderman were hell. I think this is due to the vanilla mob teleporting when it gets damaged but the actual mob teleporting at a different time with the spell, teleport. Even if they don’t teleport as often, they would still be hell to deal with. The problem may be simply in the vanilla mob itself.

    my strategy was, when playing archer or assassin, spam potions and use vanish/spin attack for assassin, or stay away and spam bomb arrows for archer

    honestly, now that sickly toxins (apparently) got nerfed, it should be much easier

    Agreed.
    I remember doing this quest on my archer pre-nerf. I had to pick each mob off one by one and then hide and wait for my mana to regen. If I got hit twice, it was basically game over.

    I nerfed them to only have 10k health, except for one, which has 20k health. All the other mobs in the area have way more, and they've got very miniscule regen. Enemies in the Sky Islands are stronger than them.

    Hm, for me the hardest part was that they absolutely shred your health (and I had favorable ele defs too).

    I find that difficult to believe, as the "Darkness" mobs and "Dernic Nightmare" mobs deal about the same damage, if not higher, than the Dernic Outlanders. The Sickly Toxins and Sclera have different damage scaling, but the Dernic Outlanders deal roughly the same damage as the others, and don't even have an advantage in speed or attack rate. Additionally the Outlanders have no damaging spells(the one spell they have that could damage you deals 0%) whereas Darkness and Dernic Nightmares have Multihits and Meteors.

    The rapid ranged mobs (Sickly Toxins I think) are the ones I'm talking about. It appears they do around 3k per single shot, and with a ton of them plus being rapid ranged it's super powerful.

    i had no problem with the escort stage except the sickly toxins, and this was on both assassin and archer, both drastically different playstyles

    Ah, misinterpreted. They used to be way worse, having even more health as well as Spiderweb for some ungodly reason.

    my build was shit at first then i wore a taurus and drank defence pots and spammed escape and arrow shield

    istg when i placed the taurus on my body everything became easier
