    Not really defence.. more like survivability. Low dmg sadly : /

    Shaman has ridiculous dps with cc, but the lowest defence in the game.

    For me.. Lunar gang kek xD

    Shaman imo is the better and more enjoyable of two, but it definitely requires much more skill than that of Mage (particularly in the mid game).
