Pepo did it, so I might as well o/

What did you think about the quest overall? Any big issue you encountered? Who's the best boy between Snoo and Pep?

    I appreciate about any feedback!

Decent quest, decent stages, I just dont get why the pirate becomes friendlier in later stages, you get kidnapped and he calls you dumb, then he starts being all friendly and praising you for doing his tasks, regardless, good quest.

There was a lock in the boat but didn't find a key, what was that about :eyes:

Edit: Oh, also i liked how you gain rewards from exploring the place rather than just finishing the quest, really looking forward to this being the case in the future

TBH, people have been asking for a while for a quest that would introduce the seaskipper for new players - and this quest is just perfect.
This is one of the fun quests we got in the new update, that doesn't cram lore into the player's head (this quest and the olmic rune both dont include much lore, but lets be honest, this is so much better than the olmic rune). The story just ties in well with the rest of the quests and lore at that level. I have one small issue though - i think it should be for level 21 or 22. Reason is that we dont have any quests for those levels, already have a quest for level 28, and it should be the first quest that requires you to use the seaskipper - because quests like "cluck cluck" (level 23) require the seaskipper before you get introduced to it.

I really liked Towering, Fierce, Terrible Rat.
This is pretty much a joke quest in a good way: It's full of references, jokes and enjoyable tasks. It's unpredictable in a good way, like the cracken being a flopping fish-like thing.

This, imho, is arguably my favorite quest in all of Wynncraft, the only other two even relatively competing for that title being Point of No Return and Shattered Minds (AHC is close, but the replay-ability factor keeps it from being better). Every single NPC has an expressed personality in a relatively short amount of time, save for Honip who obviously gets more developed as you progress, and the humor is spot on, whether it be from how it builds up the Colossal Rat like it's the end of the universe itself or the "fuel source".

If you just follow what the quest book tells you because you're boring, then you obviously won't get to experience the multiple interactions within the quest itself. Thus, it actually benefits you to explore the quest. My personal favorite was when I did the quest a second time, as I hadn't gotten Snoo the first time since I had missed the seeds. If you don't get Snoo prior to the monster hopping onto the boat, then you have to just spell spam to get it off. However, if you gave Snoo the seeds prior to this part, Snoo will legit become a badass and yeet that buffoon right back into the ocean. I started laughing harder than I ever had in Wynncraft aside from kiting random mobs to people and seeing their reaction. The best part, aside from this interaction itself, is that the NPCs comment on how batshit insane this chicken is.

Sorry, I got carried away with talking about how much I love Snoo.

Anyways, I also really like the inclusion of both the dialogue changing and ingredients you can find throughout the quest, depending on what quests you did prior to this or the interactions as stated above. This makes the quest feel like its legitimately taking place in real time, and not just some set in stone system that ruins the immersion. Speaking of said ingredients, however, I really do hope more side puzzle like features appear in more quests. What's basically a treasure hunt within the quest is very satisfying to complete, even if the rewards aren't anything super practical.

Then there's the ending, where there's the beautiful cutscene of you flying over Selchar. I believe WithTheFish (can't ping because they're a mod, obviously) had stated in the beta feedback section that he smiled when this cutscene occurred, and I am in absolute agreement with that. I'm also willing to now forgive you for making fun of the Seaskipper, because he gets to be our valiant savior at the end of the quest.

The only criticism I have now is, again, unskip

Oh god damn it you know what if I say "unskippable dialogue" one more time I'm going to have an aneurysm so instead I'm going to refer to it as "the inability to omit certain pieces of text that causes the quest book to take 20 years to update" from now on. Sound good? Excellent.

The only criticism I have now is, again, the inability to omit certain pieces of text that causes the quest book to take 20 years to update, but honestly even with that I still find the dialogue so enjoyable to read. If I was able to, I would stay with this crew of pirates for a lot longer, but, unfortunately, the game mechanics said "no".

So, yes. I love nearly everything about this quest.

    Now about Undergrowth.................................... .... ...........................................................................
Snoo is a god and is the 5th best gamer in the game.
    Who are the other four?
    That's for another time.
And by that I mean I'd rather go back to causing world hunger rather than look through the forums to find that post.

At the very start of the quest you can talk to the barman and instantly leave the bar, which is the only sort of skip I've introduced
I planned on having a "skip cutscene" button in both cutscenes, but it might tarnish immersion a bit

I would've done it for sure if we had a way to detect if an account did a quest once!
As for actual skippable dialogue, my brain is too small to figure it out but if I do end up figuring a cool way of doing it like pepo i'll implement it into the quest for sure!

Good thing this thread isn't about the dungeon................ ... ..........

Yeah, I've had that occasionally where he'll just bug out of the map. If you do /class, he should respawn where he's normally supposed to be though.

Found the wiki page for the quest empty, so I added the optional stuff for people that are lost. (I can't post links yet, sorry)
I was too lazy to add the questline, though. If I made any mistakes, feel free to correct them.
